Amazing tour and guide. It was windy and the water was a little choppy but we still had an amazing day. The kayaking was fun and informative. The water is beautiful and clear. The snorkeling was really good, even though it was hard to move around. Really the best part was our guide took the time with us to stop and try local food, go to a chocolate factory, try local coffee and even get local snacks and sodas. They really try to make your trip special. Would definitely recommend and would book again.

This is the second time we’ve booked with this company. The driver/hosts/guides are wonderful people. They pick you up at the cruise terminal and also drive you back to the terminal. What an amazing experience in Roatán! From the moment we were picked up at the cruise terminal by Jacobo, everything was perfectly organized. Jacobo was incredibly friendly, professional, and shared a lot of interesting information about the island during the drive, which made us appreciate Roatán even more. When we arrived at the pier, we first went kayaking through the mangroves with one of Jacobo’s colleagues. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and taught us a great deal about the mangrove ecosystem. It was both beautiful and educational. After kayaking, we went snorkeling. The group was small, which made the experience much more personal and enjoyable. Everything was well organized, and we felt safe and well taken care of throughout the excursion. The snorkeling itself was fantastic and one of the highlights of our visit. We have participated in many excursions and activities during our travels, but this company is by far the best we have experienced so far. The excellent organization, friendly guides, personal attention, and overall professionalism made this an unforgettable day. A big thank you to Jacobo and the entire team! This kayak and snorkel experience was an excellent alternative to the often over crowded cruise ship experiences. We were met at the port and driven to our kayak experience by a very personable driver (sorry, cannot remember her name). Then we checked in and dropped off our bags with the tour vendor. We started with the kayak tour. There were just four of us plus our guide (Jacob). He showed us around the bay and shared information about flora and fauna, plus the history of the area. When we finished kayaking, we were fitted with our snorkel equipment and took a boat out to the reef where another guide swam with us and pointed out the plants and animals of the reef. We had one person in our group (of about 8) who was a non-swimmer and he arranged for her to have a life ring and still experience the reef. He also allowed us to hold some of the animals (only those officially allowed). When we finished snorkeling, Jacob took us back to port with a stop at a local shopping area (chocolate factory plus a few other stores). Overall, I would highly recommend this excursion. From start to finish, it was evident that the tour staff cared about their customers and wanted us to have a great time. We were back to port in plenty of time to make our departure.

We had an amazing time with Jacob for the kayaking and Marlin for the snorkeling. The walk outside the Carnival port was just a few minutes with a short part of it uphill. A taxi for $2 was also available. We asked one of the first guides we met for help finding our tour. They quickly pointed us to the correct contact. It was just the two of us on the tour. We are inexperienced in both activities. We did the kayak first. It was a little windy with lots of seaweed in some areas that made this a strenuous activity. Jacob was encouraging and helpful during the activity, at one point pulling our kayak with his when we were struggling. Next was the snorkeling. Again due to the wind we couldn’t go as far out, but still saw many fish, urchins, moray eel, and conch. Jacob happily many a couple side trips at our request before driving us back to the port. We enjoyed our day and would do it again

From the get go the tour was organized. Jacob took care of the group. He knew which tour each group was on and ran the beginning of the experience with care. Once we got to the harbour, everyone was divided by excursion. We went kayaking with Omarion. Omarion was a lovely quiet 17 year old. So polite and explained everything we were doing and saw. When we were done kayaking, we were fitting with fins and joined the next snorkeling group on the boat where Philip took us on a lovely reef snorkel, showing us different fish, urchin, conch. The water was clear and the most beautiful aquamarine. After the snorkel, we went back to the dock. Jacob was there and ready to receive us. He had the van air conditioning ready to go. One the drive back to the ship he was so kind and friendly. Taught our 21 yr old son the ins and outs of driving a manual van. We had such a good time. Each person we interacted with made us feel like their familia! Highly recommend booking this excursion!

Wonderful cruise excursion for us. Communication was clear and everyone was very professional. We had Jacob lead our kayak tour portion and he was our driver. He was great and told us lots about the island and its history. We also throughly enjoyed the snorkel and saw lots of fish and coral. Finding ocean adventures at the port was a little hectic, but that’s not their fault of course. We were quickly pointed in the right direction and got out of the chaos. Highly recommend this as a cruise excursion.

We had such an incredible experience on this tour! The kayaking through the mangroves was absolutely unforgettable. Gliding through the calm waters, surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of nature, felt like stepping into another world. One of the highlights was seeing the small shipyard and the boats from the water as we paddled by. It was fascinating to take in the ships from a distance while still being immersed in the quiet, natural surroundings. We did the kayak and the snorkel and both were incredible. The views were amazing. It was a very intimate setting which I prefer. Way better than booking through the actual cruise line itself. They even dropped us off at a private beach for an hour afterwards to swim and get drinks. Highly recommend!

I bought his trip through trip advisor, I always research the trips offered by the cruise line and then find them significantly cheaper booking on my own. I have never been to Roatan and didn’t know what to expect, but when you dock you have to make your way through the walled in area to find your outside excursion company. This part was the most stressful because literally you are just walking and hoping to find someone on the outside of the wall. Once we made it through the gate, the company had signs so they were easy to spot. I found Kate who helped us navigate our day. I initially signed up for the ocean kayak and snorkeling, but due to weather we went to an animal sanctuary, then snorkeling. Kate found our driver Carlos and he drove us to our locations and stayed with us the entire time. The sloths were amazing kind of touristy but still ok. Then we drove to the harbor and geared up for snorkeling. The dock and boat were safe to enter and exit. This is important because as you get older it’s harder to get in and out of boats at a dock with bad weather. The snorkeling was amazing, the weather was rough but I still saw plenty of sea life. They crew and guides were easy to talk to and helpful. I would definitely book this company again. I felt safe the entire time. After snorkeling Carlos returned us to our port. Jake was our driver and tour guide. He went above and beyond to make our day amazing. The kayaking and snorkeling was beyond cool. Our trip back to the cruise terminal ended up being our favorite part. Jake took us to the sloth sanctuary. We also stopped to get conch from the best place in town....the local gas station on steroids. Right up my southern lady alley! What a great day. Thank you Jake!

Absolutely fantastic in everything! They were waiting to pick us up even though we were a little early and drove us to where our kayaking and snorkeling was to start. The driver was extremely friendly and shared information about the island, her family and the history of the area. The your company is owned and run by her large extended family. Everyone treated us like royalty and went out of their way to help us. We were four seniors and the guide was very patient, helpful and insightful on our kayak trip around the area. The water was calm and easy. When it was time to snorkel, we returned to the dock and boarded a larger boat. Again everyone went out of their way to be helpful! The water had gotten a bit choppy so two of us stayed on the boat and the tour guide shared wonderful stories of the area. I highly recommend going with this tour company…5 stars plus!!

Easy directions for pick up from port. Our driver/guide, Jacob was thoughtful, knowledgeable, personable and patient, particularly with our poor attempt at paddling the kayak. The two guys escorting us for the snorkelling were less professional. We both felt deserted by the guide in the water who simply swam off. Honestly, if one of us had drowned, I’m not sure he would have noticed. The reef is grey and lifeless. Enjoyed half of the excursion.

We had a kayak and snorkeling trip on Christmas. Our tour guide was Jacob (aka Jake from State Farm). We can't say enough about the experience. He and his team were super attentive in the days leading up to our trip. He told us all about the island and shared so much. The kayaking was beautiful. The snorkeling was great for experienced people - not great for first timers but that was mainly due to a sudden downpour of rain at the last minute that made the water choppy. We would 100 percent arrange a trip again with this group and highly recommend.

We loved this excursion with Uiel and Jayden. The reef was stunning and I loved how they were willing to adjust the excursion to fit our wants. We wanted to snorkel for as long as possible, so we didn’t kayak through the mangroves. I am sure that would have been amazing too but our time was limited because we had to be back at the cruise ship. We loved this excursion so much that we want to visit Roatan again and have this company take us on more adventures. Brandon picked us up at the cruise port (everything went smoothly). We were running late because the cruise ship lets out people on their excursions first. No worries though, they waited for us and totally understood how the cruise ship work. They planned for traffic and had us back in time. This is definitely the company to work with. They all seemed to love their job and care for one another.

My husband and I went on the Kayak and Snorkel Excursion. I spoke with Herbert on the phone to clarify our activity, so helpful and kind. Then Philip was our Kayak host and he was awesome, we had one on one time with him enjoyed his overview of Roatan. Then he went with us on the boat, again, with my hub and I to snorkel, took us to awesome places with lots of fish, sea urchins, large shells and coral. Very patient and helpful. Enjoyed every minute. No complaints! Unfortunately we have no pictures of our adventure to share, we were toooo busy having fun!

Yiel was AMAZING!! I didn’t think it was possible to have a better experience than Belize . The reef was breathtaking . I can say I haven’t experienced anything better so far . We kayaked the ocean and stopped a few times as Yiel gave a bit of history . The shipwreck and the divers below was cool to see . There were so many different colorful fish that we hadn’t seen at the snorkel site at our hotel . Truly an amazing excursion. We will be back .

This was amazing! Me and my wife were the only two on the kayak tour, which was awesome. Garret took us around the shore and little islands and the mangrove trees. He knew all the different birds and pointed out jellyfish in the water below us. He had water bottles for us too. He was really fun to talk to too! We kayaked over to the snorkeling spot and he prepped the gear for us and then acted as our tour guide through the reef. He knew all the different kinds of fish and coral, which was awesome! He is an excellent tour guide!! We would 100% do this again. Everyone at Roatan Ocean Adventures was really nice!

This was the best way to tour Roatan. Yoel was fantastic! He picked us up from and dropped us off back at our hotel, gave us some fantastic recommendations on what to do on the island and all around was a wonderful tour guide. He brought us through the mangroves and led us snorkeling around the reefs. We went as three friends for vacation and had an unforgettable adventure. We saw a manta ray, a shipwreck, and stunning fish and reef wildlife. Everything was perfect.

Breathtakingly beautiful. Seriously amazing. Kayaking was a bit more intense than we anticipated but that was likely more of an us situation than them. Snorkeling was great. Small enough group. My only piece of advice is that a few more directions re how the day was going to go would have been helpful. For example, knowing we were going to kayak in the ocean would have made it easier. But completely worth the effort. I would 100% go again.

This tour operator is amazing. It was easy to contact then and arrange for pick up. We had to adjust our tour due to weather, but had an amazing time boating around learning about the local area and its history. The owner did give us options for snorkelling, but we decided a tour was a better option for our group. I wouldn't hesitate booking with this company at all, and we will definitely go out with them again the next time we are back on Roatan.

I have had other trips to Roatan with good excursions. This was the best ever. The kayaking was more than just that. Our Guide Ural stopped along the way to show us iguanas in the wild and explain the different ones. He talked about the large fish that live in these waters, the importance of mangroves and many other ecology interests. The snorkeling also the best. We could easily drift snorkel with stops to show us special creatures and formations. More variety of fish than in previous trips. So worth every penny.

Absolutely a fantastic excursion. The company was responsive, easy to find and punctual. Our tour guide was friendly, informative and made the three hours a breeze. We really enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling with our guide, Derrin (Darin?). Not only do you get to snorkel in one of the most beautiful parts of the Carribbean, you get to be surrounded by locals that obviously love their job. I book this tour through trip advisor based on the reviews and it exceeded our expectations! I went with my family of 5 including my 3 kids ages 12,13, and 15. We happen to have a private kayaking tour and snorkeling tour because no one else booked at our time. Garett was tour guide and he was great. The snorkeling was the highlight of our entire vacation. We would absolutely go back if we ever visit Honduras again.

I booked the kayak/snorkel for our family of 6. When you get to the port, make sure to ask around for directions to the concrete hill/security guard to find your driver. Joe was waiting for us. He was very pleasant. He dropped us off at a house where you’ll start your kayak or snorkel. Don’t worry, you’re in good hands. A bunch of cats were lying around which don’t mind being petted. We started the kayak first. None of us are experienced kayakers and the waters were choppy. Be ready to get wet and work your arms out. You have to be in good shape. Darren was our guide and he made the trip memorable. Our first stop was this beautiful private beach where we basked on the beauty of Roatan. Darren had cold bottled water and sweet mangoes for us. After kayaking through the lagoon and mangroves, we went back to the house to get ready to snorkel. We got quite exhausted from the kayaking but pushed through going snorkeling anyway. I wanted my kids to experience snorkeling as it’s a once in a lifetime deal. We went on a boat to the snorkel area. Darren guided my kids and sister to the reef area. They said it was the highlight of our 2-week vacation. Don’t hesitate to book with this company. I highly recommend them.

The 4 of us had an outstanding private tour with this company. Justin, our guide, was the best! Personal, informative and entertaining - couldn’t have asked for a better day. We were traveling with 2 novice snorkelers, and they were amazed at what they saw - the water was crystal clear and Justin free dove down to point out all the wonderful sea life amongst the coral. The equipment worked perfectly. I highly recommend this excursion. When we come back, we will for sure scuba dive with this company.

Amazing experience!. French Caye is beautiful and the coral reef is spectacular! Everything ran smoothly. We were picked up and dropped off and Herbert and his wife went out of their way to show us French Harbour on the way back. We took kayaks to the reef, lead by Preston, who was a great guide and we felt completely safe in his presence. The reef is truly awesome and a must see when in Roatán!

We really enjoyed the kayaking experience. Justin was a fantastic guide and so knowledgeable about the area (as he grew up there). In fact, every person who worked for ROA was so nice and helpful. Got picked up at Mahogany Bay-Uncle Joe was our driver. It was us and another couple. Midway through, they brought two other ladies and their kayak to join us which I thought was nice for them not have missed their whole excursion. They built in a small break to stop at a beach area to rest for @ 15 minutes. Then the boat met us for the snorkel so we didn’t have to kayak back. I think it was because water was kinda choppy that day and the current was strong. They provided noodles for us which was helpful. Excursion itself took @ 3 hrs. They offered to take us to a local lunch spot and we did that with other couple. Fish tacos & local beer hit the spot after all that work!

This was the best of the excursions on this trip. All of the people that I encountered were friendly and helpful. Justin was pleasant and full of information and discussion points while we were kayaking. While snorkeling, he named and talked about many of the creatures we saw. They went out of their way to accommodate a slight change to our itinerary without showing any inconvenience on their side.
