Wow.. what an amazing experience! The contact went smoothly when there were problems with the payment and solutions were thought through. The tour itself was also great with two children (6 and 9). Good guidance and safety arrangements. Absolutely no ‘tourist trap’ feeling and highly recommended if you are looking for an organization to go rafting with.

It was our first time rafting. From the reservation they were all very attentive and facilitating everything and adapting the time according to the flood of the River, because the night before it had rained a lot. The reception girl was lovely, explained us, guarded our belongings and even advised places to visit on our trip. The monitor, explained us continuously in addition to directing perfectly, all the birds, customs of the place, animals... He came with us in kayak, another companion, to take pictures and analyze the descent. Super attentive and worried. We stopped for some juices and fruit, which they had already prepared and it suited us more than well. We were able to share with them anecdotes and chat for a while before leaving again. In the end, we were picked up and taken by car to the meeting point. We loved the experience. 100% recommended to do. We would repeat with them again without hesitation

The staff went above and beyond for us. They were hospitable and patient upon our arrival. I was a little bit nervous because this was my first time water rafting. Our guide constantly checked in on us during our trip down the river. He was knowledgeable about the wild life and the surrounding ecosystem when pointing out animals, noises, and trees. He was funny and kept our spirits up throughout our trip. He gave us the opportunity to swim in shallow areas multiple times along with taking photos of us. His coworker also took videos and pictures of us when going down stronger rapids which made our experience more memorable. Lastly, we enjoyed our favorite meal we’ve had while in Costa Rica - the plantain and sandia fresca was our favorite. I cannot recommend this excursion enough.

Very nice experience, they make it a private rafting experience as we were only the 2 of us with a guide in the boat and one othe staff kayaking. A bit of a wait at the beginning to get things fixed. We were not it a hurry but do allow extra time for this activity. Saw a few birds along the way in the water. Class III in March was ok for us not wanting to fall out of the boat. If you want more adrenaline don't hesitate class IV! I really enjoyed the meal served after and demonstration sugar cane juice. Overall I recommand :-) For those wandering, they keep our car kee at the office. No issues with that. Photos available at extra cost, we did not take them. Having a free picture taken of us would have been nice. Other companies (ex canyoning) did so. I understand everything has a price...

It was just awesome. For our first rafting tour it was the perfect level of difficulty. Stephen and David made the tour unforgettable and really fun! You can tell that they love their job and really try to give you the best experience. We were laughing all the time and had so much fun together. They showed us all the animals, like all kinds of birds and monkeys. Before we went on the boat we had lunch, which was included and super delicious. Afterwards we got fruits, yuca, coffee and we pressed our own sugar cane. We highly recommend it!!!

We had a very nice experience with Sarapiqui Outdoor Center when we did a half day tour during the afternoon. We were there as a family and even though our young people had never tried rafting before, there was no problem whatsoever. Some of us in the party had hoped to run class 3–4, but unfortunately that tour was cancelled. Of course, it was a bit sad as we were looking forward to a bigger challenge, but we really appreciate that the centre puts safety first. It feels safe and serious that they make such decisions when conditions require it. What really lifted the experience was the nice atmosphere that all the leaders created. They were incredibly inspiring and happy, which rubbed off on the whole group. We also appreciated the good coffee afterwards – it was a perfect end to an active day. Although it was a calmer tour than planned, we had a great time on the river in an incredibly beautiful environment. A perfect activity for families!

Fantastic experience. The skipper is super pro and explains very clearly the positions to take and the safety rules. Chef David was also accompanied by kayakers to ensure a draft in case of a fall in the water. On the shores quantities of exotic birds! In short, we will start rafting again!

Amazing experience for our family's first time whitewater rafting. David was an outstanding guide, as were his two colleagues in the neighbouring rafts. He was very concerned for our safety, and when I fell in (just once), he immediately grabbed me and dragged me back in. David called out instructions so we knew whether to paddle forward or backward, lean in, get down, and so forth. It was obvious he knew the river well. Our young adult kids loved it and plan to do whitewater rafting again. In the river's quieter stretches, David pointed out birds and wildlife, including a sloth. Afterwards, we ate a typical Costa Rican meal--it was probably my favourite meal from the whole week. It was inexpensive and very delicious. It was also fun to learn how sugarcane juice is made--and to taste it! Note for first-timers: Whitewater rafting is pretty physical. I knew I would be paddling, but didn't realize how much of my whole body I'd be using (core, legs, etc.). Just something to be aware of if you haven't done it before, but don't let it stop you. David and the guys will keep you safe and it was really fun.

Awesome experience. It’s our first time whiteriver rafting. We are a family of 5. 3 kids (8,11, and 15). Everybody had a blast. Steven and Marcos and David were all amazing and made everything very easy. We didn’t bring water shoes so we used on regular shoes (no big deal). I would do it again. Great experience! Accompanied by the professional guide Steve and safety- and rescueman Flander in his kayak. Motto: Safety first! After a good and clear instruction we had a tough ride on a sensational river. We had a lot of fun. Although we had sometimes very big bumps and splashes, we never felt unsafe. Steve gave clear instructions. Afterwards a nice fruit and yuca-snack with selfmade sugarcane-juice. Now we have great memories of this ride together with the pictures and video. Thanks to Victoria and Flander for this.

Steven and Luis were exceptional guides! My wife and I had a great time with the two of them. SOC was very flexible and accommodating with our requests. I had hoped to kayak while my wife was in a ducky or raft with a guide, and SOC very graciously worked with us to make it happen. Highly recommend SOC for anyone who is looking for a similar arrangement, and Luis and Steven were great for this in particular!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. We’re a family of 5 with 3 young kids (ages 8-11) and it was an extremely fun, adventurous, and safe experience. Steven and Luis were great guides and were able to point out plenty of wildlife along the river. We saw a monkey, toucans, and sloth, along with lots of other birds they were able to identify on our trip. It was well worth it and exciting for beginners and intermediate rafters, and we would definitely do this tour again! We would also highly recommend the photos/videos! They came out great and were a huge addition!

We had the most fantastic experience as a family of 6 - children 16, 14, 11 and 10. A wonderful adventure for the whole family - exhilarating & exciting for all, but felt very secure as parents that we and our children were safe and in very expert hands. The rafting was spectacular- as was the welcome, the beautiful setting and the amazing post adventure Costa Rican snacks and coffee…..The children loved pressing their own sugar cane juice for ‘dessert’………. Delighted with the wonderful photo / video package to help us keep those memories ($30 for loads of photos / videos - which we couldn’t have taken ourselves- as a phone on this adventure was not going to be a sensible plan!)……. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. The staff were fantastic. I’d rate 10 stars if I could - the whole family would……. Will be something we remember for a very long time. Thank you.

This company were amazing and really looked after us. Our guide Carlos was very professional and at all times we felt we were in very capable and safe hands. Our guide was such fun and knowledgeable about the wildlife. He was very passionate about his job. The rapids, scenery and wildlife were incredible. Once back from the rapids we were given some refreshments including drinks, fruit and cassava. Which is what we needed after all that adrenaline. Thank you to all. If it wasn’t for the fact we were leaving, we would have joined them for the grade III to IV rapids. We have white water rafted several times in different countries and I strongly recommend this company.

Great experience! David and Steven were excellent. Picked up from our hotel, given a thorough safety demo and check, before hitting the river. Always felt safe and we (adults and teens) had great fun. 2 guides on the river - one kayaker and one steering the raft. Lots of big stoppers after heavy rain resulted in some great dunkings. Swam out of the raft too to cool down. Lots of wildlife seen the way: iguanas, turtles, a Sloth, pygmy, Green and Ringed Kingfishers, cormorants, anhingas, tiger herons, black vultures, montezuma oropendola, buff-rumped warbler. Took approx 1hr. After the trip, we had a Costa Rican lunch - food and beverages were excellent and plentiful. Then we reviewed the photos and videos David took. Great activity. Highly recommend!!

The truth is we had a wonderful day rafting on the Sarapiquí River. Much of that had to do with our guide, Stanley Esquivel Mesen. You can tell he really knows the river like the back of his hand, so we felt safe the whole time, even in the most turbulent rapids. The whole team was 10 stars, very attentive the whole time and provided VIP service. It was a good mix between the excitement of rafting and being able to enjoy the beautiful scenery here in Sarapiquí. If you're looking to do something adventurous, I highly recommend it, and Stanley was a fantastic guide who made the experience even better.

Jordy and David took us on a super fun adventure down the rapids. It was only my daughter (15) and me and we appreciate that they were willing to host such a small group. Amazing rafting experience, snacks and the best part was the super kind and fun staff of Sarapiqui Outdoor Center (10 out of 10). Tatiana was very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed to have a great experience, David gave us a detailed and very clear safety briefing and took pictures during the whole experience, Felipe was our captain and wild life expert (spotting many animals together with David during the trip) and Hugo drove us smoothly back to the main base. After the rafting, we had a very tasty fruity snack and they showed us how to make sugar cane juice that we tried after. It definitely worths the money :)

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had! It was so much fun, full of adventure, and most importantly safe. It was my first time white water rafting, so I was a bit worried when booking a class 2/3 river, but it was so worth it. Miguel, our guide, explained everything thoroughly and communicated very well and always checked in on everyone. We also paid extra for the pictures, which were great! I would do this tour all over again
