We were picked up 20 minutes late by taxi. Then we’re taken to another van where the woman guide had I cross back & forth in street trying to find the van. She seemed frantic & confused. The van was almost full so my friend who’s 6’1 had to sit on a wobbly/broken flip down child size seat. Once at Sillustani that tour guide was informative and organized. Overall I wouldn’t recommend. We went a more expensive company because we wanted a comfortable day after being on a 6 day trek in Salkantay mountains. That did not happen. Gave 3 rating only because the 2nd woman tour guide was good and the stop at local house was nice & educational. If it wasn’t for her I’d give it 0. Picture is of our good guide :)

Dear Sherpa A thousand apologies for the failures, it is no excuse, but your last minute reservation was a bit difficult for us to control, we learn a lot from those details, thank you very much for your comment. Best regards
A Great Day

My wife and I were visiting the Puno region because we wanted to see the highest navigable waterway in the world in Lake Titicaca and visiting Sillustani was just an activity that was added on to kill time before our flight out of Juliaca. Roger, the owner/tour guide made our visit to Sillustani a very special one. He is a passionate guy that truly cares about his country and its traditions. We had a private tour and had the entire site to ourselves. One of the perks of visiting during a pandemic. The site itself offers very picturesque views of the lake, island and valley below which is probably why the Colla and the Inca both chose it as a sacred place to bury their dead. We also saw wild flamingos, just outside of the village. Very cool to see. Roger and his business partner/driver, Basilio both followed all the COVID safety protocols. My wife and I felt very safe and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone that needs an excellent English speaking guide while visiting the Puno Region. Thanks Roger and Basilio. Noah and Melissa B.
