Better than lower and upper antelope, way less traffic, don’t feel like a business at all, we were the only group for that time slot, the experience was simply unforgettable!

5.0 Unexpectedly Beautiful

cjbacca, May 2026

The experience in the canyon was amazing. First, if this interests, you go in the spring or fall or early morning during the summer, anything above 80-ish degrees is gonna be extremely hot. My wife and I scheduled the tour for 2 in the afternoon (not realizing how hot it gets) however we finished all of our other tours early so we decided to go there and ask if they would fit us on an earlier tour and they did. Julie, our tour guide, was very pleasant and accommodating, it was slower that day and she gave us a private tour. She explained much of the native culture along the route to the canyon (the route takes about 25 minutes to get to the area where you descend to the bottom of the canyon). It’s only about a 5 minute, easy walk to the beginning of the slot of the canyon. I knew about panoramic photos where you can take vertically, but I didn’t think about it while we were in the canyon, Julie showed us the best way to take the panoramic photos, see some attached to this review (unfortunately the app on the phone will not let me select panoramic photos, so I put the best ones that I could that were taken in regular mode), she helped us get the right light angles; simply beautiful. I highly recommended this tour!

5.0 Well worth doing.

675kimk, May 2026

We had a wonderful time. Our guide was incredible. Just my granddaughter and myself plus our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the Navaho Nation and the canyon. He took several photos and was super patient and professional answering our questions. I cannot say there is one thing we did not enjoy about this trip.

gaelle_v, May 2026

A very nice experience. Very friendly guide and very easy exchange. We had a great time.

5.0 Great adventure.

David_L, April 2026

Our guide Julie was very knowledgeable about the Navajo history and ways. She showed us what certain plants had medicinal qualities. She showed us what landmarks there were and the meanings. The canyons themselves were remarkable and stunning. I do recommend being in somewhat decent shape, since you need to climb up and down ladders/stairs and move throughout at times narrow passage ways. I do highly recommend this tour, not rushed at all.

5.0 Excellent choice

723erniec, April 2026

Excellent tour and experience and great guide, they handle small groups, we were just 5 tourist and the guide who teach us how to get great pictures, I highly recommend

5.0 A great tour and guide

K_a, April 2026

A very informative tour given by an excellent guide - Alice. Some climbing of ladders required but not too tricky. Plus go through some tight spaces. However views and info provided were excellent.

5.0 Great experience

Anita_W, April 2026

Life time treasure experience, me and my husband enjoyed a lot. We just managed to climb up and down from the mountain. It may be a little bit difficult for some seniors. We took beautiful pictures and can last for a life time.

5.0 Good experience and great views!

Lorenzo_B, April 2026

Good experience, worth the money. I would do it again if i had to. Great views, beautiful canyons. Worth the price.

1.0 Very Disappointed

Sarah_S, April 2026

If I could leave no stars, I would. I googled Pink Jeep Tours Sedona, Viatar website came up. I clicked on the website, in LARGE print over the tour options it said Pink Jeep Tours Sedona. I proceeded to scroll through the options and found the tour we wanted and purchased. We arrived to the Pink Jeep Tours in Sedona and found out the tour we booked waa 3.5 hours away in Page AZ. We called to the tour guide company and they said we had to reach out to Viator. I called Viator and they said we had to reach out to Pink Jeep Tours in Page. I did both and neither were of any assistance. I was very disappointed. I explained the website that came up should not show other locations if the heading (in large print) reads SEDONA as the location. We were out over $200. Again very disappointed.

Response from Host, April 2026

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand how frustrating this situation must have been, especially when travel plans don’t go as expected. We would like to clarify that our company is not affiliated with Pink Jeep Tours, and we do not advertise or operate under that name. Additionally, our official listing on TripAdvisor clearly identifies our tours as Antelope Valley Canyon Tours, with no reference or link to Jeep Tours. It appears this booking may have been made through a third-party platform, and unfortunately we do not have control over how search results or headings are displayed on those sites. Once a reservation is confirmed and a guest does not arrive for the scheduled tour, it is considered a no-show. As outlined in our cancellation policy, no-shows are non-refundable. We understand that mistakes can happen during the booking process, and we sincerely regret that this led to confusion and disappointment. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working with our booking partners to ensure our tour information is as clear and accurate as possible for future guests.

Sara_A, April 2026

The experience is worth the money The drive to the canyon is about 20min from the parking lot. You will be immersed into the canyon. Fantastic!

5.0 Great experience for the whole family

Eric_Y, April 2026

It was a great experience to see and walk through the wonderful slots of Antelope Canyon. Wally, our guide, shared a lot of information and history of the Navajo area and was very helpful by taking pictures for us (we even learned a new photo trick from him). The whole family enjoyed this experience and I highly recommend this for everyone.

4.0 Beautiful scenery.

Don_S, April 2026

Great photos, guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Keep in mind, you are on tribal lands not general US parks. Also, there are several various entrance points which offer opportunities for different scenery experiences. This one did have several ladders, so if you are afraid of heights or severely out of shape one of the other canyon points might be a better choice.

5.0 Wonderful experience!

Terri_G, April 2026

This was a bucket list hike for me! We had a wonderful tour guide who took us through Deer Canyon at what felt like a leisurely pace. We had been told by someone who had done an Antelope Canyon tour that she felt rushed and that there was barely time to take pictures. Our tour guide didn’t make us feel rushed and she was even so kind as to take pictures of me and my husband, along with separate family photos for 2 families who were on the tour with us. She also gave us some interesting background on the land and how 6 sisters (some of whom are still living in this land) used to play in the canyons while their parents herded sheep. We had an awesome experience and would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering visiting the canyons.

5.0 Antelope Canyon and our...

Kady_C, March 2026

Antelope Canyon and our tour guide Wallace delivered an excellent experience that we will never forget!

5.0 Great family experience

David_C, March 2026

This was a great personalized experience. Alex, our tour guide was friendly and great. She gave a lot of information about the canyon itself and its history. Had great tips for photos. The canyon itself was beautiful. There are some narrow passages, stairs, and a decent amount of ladder climbing. Would not be great if you have mobility problems. Having said that, our non-verbal son with autism was able to navigate it with ease.

5.0 Great Tour and Knowledgeable Tour Guide

Nancy_L, March 2026

Great tour, Felicia was very kind and knowledgeable. I have never been to the other canyon tours but the Deer Canyon was beautiful and had plenty of pic opportunities.

5.0 Book it!!!

Bruce_L, March 2026

This was incredible. It is definitely not for anyone with a fear of heights! We went on the last tour of the day through Deer Canyon & it was spectacular. Our guide John was a wealth of knowledge of Tre Navajo tribes, the George of the formations & history of the area. I highly recommend this.

5.0 Had an amazing time on this tour!

F3602QJmatthewr, March 2026

My family and I had a great time. Our guide was very nice, knew a ton of facts about the canyon and helped us take some great pictures!

5.0 Amazing

ostrich719, February 2026

Wow! What an experience and it really makes you wonder how much water and time has passed through to create these amazing rock formations. It’s a natural beauty and I hope that you have a wonderful time seeing this beautiful place. It’s a great place!

5.0 You won't regret this great little adventure !

Vitali_F, February 2026

This little hike felt like real adventure. My mom who is 77 thought it was great and piece of cake walk through the canyon with lots of beautiful scenery. My 4 year old son..ooohhh did he enjoy climbing all those ladders. Our gide Mike was awesome with lots of great knowledge of the area and history to tell! Would definitely do it again and highly recommend to others!

5.0 Amazing experience, recommended

vrgarcia10, January 2026

Amazing experience, met at trailer and jumped in a van with about 12 other people and our guide. After bumpy 15 minutes arrived at top of canyon in middle of the desert. Took very steep flight of stairs to bottom and proceeded to enter slot canyon. As beautiful as advertised and the photos don’t do it justice. I will state one caveat if you are scared of heights or unable to physically climb simple ladders, this may not be the tour for you. Probably not great for small children either. But totally doable and worth it. Once you return to the top you have some scenic views and more photo opportunities to enjoy. Guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and gave us plenty of times to take pictures. Never felt rushed as well.

5.0 Amazing tour with an even more amazing tour guide

Sally_G, January 2026

I am a fit 67 year old but have bad balance and yet this was a perfect fit for me - nothing too extreme but make sure you have stamina enough to go by up lots of ladders. Beautiful setting and views. Ask to go with tour guide named John - I am very curious and pummeled him with questions. He had SO much interesting info about the environment, the Navajo culture, the geological history, the plants, the animals, the history, everything. Not a question posed that he didn’t answer and go beyond with great info. Impressed was I!

5.0 First time Visitors

Sightseer63152741738, January 2026

We booked with a few other companies for other locations. . .As far as overall experience this was the best. Saved for next visit! Tight squeezes so heads up.

5.0 Do it!

David_U, December 2025

Must do this! It was perfect all around. The guides were great and the canyon was breathtaking. We highly suggest it- definitely worth the trip!

5.0 Easy

Flavia_M, December 2025

It was easy to book I got all the messages needed Everything worked well I recommend Viator as a platform

5.0 Stunning!

Faviola_G, December 2025

This was an experience and a half!! Loved the off roading and the brief history given by Monica, our Navajo tour guide!! Best of all, the climb down the canyon and the climb up through tiny nooks and amazing red rock dens!! Bring water for after the climb!!!

5.0 Amazing canyon

YUJUAN_C, December 2025

It's really amazing. From outside, you couldn't tell there is a narrow trail there. But when I went downstairs, it was incredibly pretty. Our guide, John, is super friendly. He is willing to help us take photos. And he cared about our safety.

5.0 Christmas Eve tour through Deer Canyon

ymebane, December 2025

Our Navajo guide Mike was so knowledgeable & great with the camera! He helped guide us through stairwells and passages with such ease, educating us on the local horticulture as well. We enjoyed the tour through Deer Canyon with breathtaking views and swirling walls and arches! The canyon definitely does not disappoint! We went on Christmas Eve and the top of the canyon was windy and cold, also during the rainier season, so be prepared with a good warm weather-proof jacket and hiking boots. They were kind enough to take us as a walk-in appointment, so thank you so much for accommodating us! We loved the tour, God bless all your future endeavors!

5.0 Beautiful experience

Gladson_J, December 2025

20 minutes van/truck ride to the canyon. Then decent down via metal steps with handrail. The, climb up the canyon. Beautiful experience. I'm unable to attach any picture, sorry. Got amazing pictures.

5.0 Excellent!!

351satishb, December 2025

Deer Canyon Adventure through Antelope Canyon tour was excellent!! I had an absolutely wonderful experience on this tour. well organized, fun, and memorable .

5.0 Great tour for family with lots of photo and funny climbing

Gregory_C, December 2025

Monica was excellent, she gave us lots of explanations about the place history and let us take many pictures without rushing us. This tour takes small groups of 8-10 peoples to a real exploration of the caves. Unlike other antelopes tours which are flats, this deer canyon tour has lots of ladders to climb up/down, kids will love it, but be aware that elderly or people with vertigo may not enjoy the experience. The colors of the rock look comparable to other Antelope caves, the real value being the extra climbing and the guide patience.

3.0 5 star for the tour but 3 star for the guide

Aditi_R, December 2025

The canyon itself was really amazing and the trip guide Alex was really nice and patient with my questions! The reason for my 3 star is guide Wall-E/something on those lines. He was rude and insulting for no reason. I had a bad trip with him.

5.0 Deer Canyon Experience

Steven K, December 2025

Our guide Wally was absolutely outstanding. Our trip to Ligai si Anii was perfectly matched. What an experience. My wife and I wanted to spend time on the Navajo reservation to learn more about its history, but also the culture of the Navajo people. Wally I took the time to share his own personal experiences having lived on the reservation, his entire life. Our tour through the canyons midday provided amazing scenery as well. Wally was able to adjust our tour to accommodate our ability to handle the paths and stairs leading to what were just stunning tight canyons and scenery. A definite must do if you’re looking for a private tour with an exceptionally caring and attentive guide.

5.0 A MUST SEE!

robj466, December 2025

Do not miss this tour. It was incredible and Black Streak tours was the owner of the land that was used for grazing before they opened it up to tours. Our guide, Lori, grew up playing in the upper canyon and had great stories.

4.0 Fun same day trip to Page

Kristin_C, November 2025

It was quite a drive getting to Deer Canyon via the tour guided van. If you get motion sickness inside a car, beware, its pretty bumpy and takes about 30 min altogether going to and driving back to the station. entire hike/climb was about 30 minutes if you stop to rest and take lots of pictures and that was with a group of 8 people. Also, dont do this excursion if you are afraid of heights and or heavy/large person because you will be squeezing through narrow tight spaces. Tour guide wasn't what I expected for a tour guide. I would have liked to hear history about the place and significance of certain canyon features. He didn't talk much unless asked. I dont know that the experience is worth the price paid per person but its definitely worth doing once and braving the tall metal stair ladders. The owner operators of this tour had many customers who got lost coming to find the meet up place if they booked through Trip Advisor / Viator. Make sure to call ahead if you're a first timer. The map link provided to your email is inaccurate. Use the address on the Deer Canyon Tour website.

5.0 Highlight of our vacation

anthonymU7910HX, November 2025

Excellent tour. Lasted over 2 hours. Excellent and informative guide who informed us about Navajo culture and how best to use our photo cameras to better capture the majesty of the canyon. We were not rushed at all. Lots of ladders on the tour but easily manageable

5.0 Excellent tour

Anthony_M, November 2025

Wonderful tour. Not rushed at all through the stunningly beautiful canyon. Even given some valuable photography tips. Learnt about the Navajo culture as well. From start to finish we had over 2 hours. A little bit strenuous but not too difficult.

5.0 Exhilarating and breathtaking beauty!

ShelleyV731, November 2025

Tremendous! Gail was our guide, she was fantastic. She was funny, knowledgeable and helped us get the best photos! The adventurous drive back to the slot canyon, the trip through it and drive to Horseshoe bend was so exhilarating. She was helpful to explain culture and answered questions. We basically got a private tour without the crowds and "tourist trap" chaos. We would 100% recommend this experience.

5.0 A beautiful journey through the rocks of the ancients

gail80477, November 2025

We weren’t sure what to expect, and we’re very pleased at the beauty of the Deer Antelope Canyon. Our guide was very knowledgeable about rock formations, and the surrounding desert. There is about a 20 minute drive to the canyon and a ladder descending over 2 stories which you later ascend bit by bit as you travel through the canyon. The canyon walls are quite close and so very beautiful, like natures artwalk.

5.0 Great exoerience up close of narrow beautifully carved canyons and blessed famy thst shares with us!

MatthewM4965, November 2025

Very Great people, treated me as one of their own. Usually the tours are in groups, but i was the only one signed up for the early 8 am tour. Instead of Cancelling because of lack of participants, they took me by myself anyway, no extra charge. She was not young Native but the small hiking parts (to see things up close after the drive to get there ) were great and i could never catch up to her. She was kind to slow down and wait. Sometimes there are stairs or even ladders where the crevices are narrow and she climbed or descended faster and more graceful than Spider man! Great sharing of history of the area, the Navajo or Denai ( likely mispelled, lol translates roughly as “The People” ) ! I had while trip to self with the most gracious guide ( Julie?) . This is their own land they a graciously share with all who come, even though they were treated horribly by the invasive Caucasians, they are still ever caring and gracious even sacrificing for us! What i saw was great and whst i leanred i treasure but the best part for this one was experience of their family! All were kind and courteous and charitable! Julie had good humor too! rReally enjoyable and inpactful! Hope more will experience such! You might come away a better person because of the experience! Matthew Myer

5.0 “In awe” is a major understatement.

christiano385, October 2025

Amazing, unique and very personable experience with this family who shares this part of their backyard, Antelope Canyon! Gorgeous section of the canyon with sturdy ladders and catwalks for all the best angles. Extremely respectful with sharing their culture and welcoming guests into the undulating, colorful, steep canyon walls. Definitely one for the books!

3.0 Tour Mis-Represented by Inaccurate Description

slw95756xxx, October 2025

The tour was inaccurately described in the TravelAdvisor Things to Do section. In addition, the tour title mis-represented what we visited. The canyon we visited was interesting, but below expectation based on the title and description.

5.0 The Best Place Ever

hopekovales, October 2025

The most amazing experience. Breathtaking View. Great organization. Very friendly and helpful staff. Small groups so there is enough time to see everything without being rushed.

5.0 Great experience you don't want to miss!

Megan_M, October 2025

Our experience was excellent! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and patient with our group. I was traveling with my 83 yr old grandmother and 63 yr old mom who needed a couple extra breaks and they were more than accommodating to do so! This was one of the highlights of our 6 day trip through AZ and UT. Definitely something you don't want to miss!

4.0 Well worth the rough ride.

Busialikestodostuff, October 2025

It was probably the best hike/tour we did during our 10 days of National Parks. I would love to do Antelope Canyon. Our guide, John was very knowledgeable. He made sure that each person was ok after each staircase and crevice we wiggled through.

5.0 Incredible, must-do experience!

L9506PSstephenm, October 2025

What an incredible experience. Herman, our guide, was thoughtful, helpful and knowledgeable and guided us through the canyons expertly, as well as offering to take pictures for us along the way. Would definitely recommend the tour, particularly for those who want a more relaxed, private experience. Thank you!

5.0 Well worth the drive, we...

Shayleen_C, October 2025

Well worth the drive, we decided last minute (ok the night before) that we were going to make the trek to check out Deer Canyon. Short hike down some staircases in to the breathtaking canyons. John was an amazing tour guide, friendly, down to earth, knowledgeable and relatable. The only thing I suggest adding to the booking or welcome email is that they don’t observe daylight savings time, add what time zone they are currently working in as it didn’t match what our phones said. Thankfully we were an hour early not an hour late 😮‍💨 We will definitely be back

5.0 Great Slot Canyon Views

W5016HAstacys, October 2025

The guided tour through the slot canyon at Deer Canyon was amazing. Joanna was our guide and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the canyon and surrounding area. The tour takes you down a long staircase to the valley floor and then winds you up the slot canyon through a series of stairs and steps until you are back to the top of the canyon. Joanna and the staff was awesome. We also enjoyed the fact that we were not fighting a bunch of people going through the tour at the same time. We were part of a small group and were able to take our time and enjoy the canyon. Do double check your time slot. The canyon is in the Navajo Nation which follows Daylight Savings Time where Page AZ does not.
