The sites of the caves and the Mayan Ruins are truly an incredible site to experience in person. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly throughout the excursion. He picked us up and the hotel and guided us throughout the locations and his humor and enthusiasm really showed through during the drives and the walking/tubing tours. They were very accommodating when someone in our tour had their flight cancelled due to inclement weather as well and were very easy to get ahold of. The beaty of locations and the nature you get see along with the incredible food stop is a 10/10 experience.

We absolutely loved this excursion! For the cave tubing you do hike about a mile up the jungle, which was fun and well shaded. The float down the river in the cave was so amazing, it was the highlight of the whole trip! The lunch was home made by our tour guides mom. The ruins were really impressive to see too.

This was a great excursion. The guide was knowledgeable about the ruins, caves and Belize culture. For lunch, we visited a restaurant owned by the guide’s mother. My only negative was when we asked the tour about other excursions, he wasn’t receptive and he appeared closed minded regarding some ideas or different opinion.

There are few things more magic than the things you'll see on this day trip. The Pyramids are without parallel in my opinion...ancient and evocative of all that you'd expect...but in the same stroke, they have a shrugging availability lost in places like Machu Pichu. The Cave: I can see why the Mayan people considered this a holy place. It feels it. It isn't fearful...it brings you to awe...time and again. Do this. And swim in the river if you can...its fantastic. The guide: Antoinne was masterful. He picked us up at our Airbnb and immediately established a friendly and contagious report. We were laughing with him in minutes- while learning valuable things about his country, his family, history and roadside pineapples (that would be turned into fresh juice at lunch). When we return to Belize...We'll look him up. I can't imagine better...and we consider him family now. The Lunch: On the way to the Cave, we stopped at Antoinne's family's farm and had a lunch prepared by his mother. I struggle for words here...in a country of good food...this was exceptional. We all said that we would be looking for her stewed chicken until we returned- and we will...but we won't find it. It was fantastic. So was the place they fed us in. and the love (one love) they put into what they do. So good.... All of it.

We had a fantastic time with Antuane, who was both a great guide and a great hang. We came on a cruise ship and took the first tender out (second one probably would've been fine too) and he was waiting for us at Terminal 1. The tour of Altun Ha and cave tubing, with a delicious lunch between, turned out to be awesome choices on how to spend our one day in Belize, and if you're on the fence I highly recommend it. It was absolutely the highlight of our whole trip! We made it back to the port an hour before the last tender, and we couldn't have had a better time. Thanks again to Antuane for the awesome day!! Unfortunately there were time issues debarking from Carnival (not the tours fault) so we had to cut our tour in half. Antuan patiently waited for us until we were able to meet him at the dock and took us caving. He was such an educated, informative, helpful and all around fun young man. Our whole family loved him! We laughed and joked around like we knew each other for years. On our way back we grabbed homemade food that his mom Melissa made and boy was that amazing. She even went out of her way to make sure my picky son would eat his lunch. Communication was on point from day one. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS TOUR! you will thank me later. Antuan come visit us in California so we can give you a tour as great as you gave us! Ps. They even requested a partial refund from viator for us without me even asking since we missed the Mayan Ruin part. How awesome was that?? RESPECT From my family to yours

This experience was a full day of experiencing REAL Belize. Antoine (David jr) was absolutely fantastic. We learned so much about the country just from talking to him. He even made a stop on the way to the caves and bought us local belezian meat pies for breakfast. He really made us feel welcome when most locals in a tourist area do not. The cave tubing was amazing. Not only the sights but the history behind it and the relaxing experience of just floating and taking it all in. When we floated out of the caves we did about 20 minutes of free floating and were able to swim for a while. We also got to see monkeys jumping from tree to tree and all kinds of other local animals. The ruins were nice and the history behind them is pretty cool but the caves were certainly the highlight of the day. The other highlight was the FOOD! Antoine's mom owns a local restaurant and she made some excellent Chicken, Rice and beans and Sausage for us. This isnt a commercialized restaurant, its a spot where locals eat. It was truly a real belizean experience. I dont usually take the time to write reviews but this experience was worth the effort. Antoine packed a full day in the amount of time we had and we were back to the ship in time for the last tender which was perfect. I HIGHLY recommend doing this excursion.

Antoine (sp?) was amazing, personable, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions about Belize, in general, and gave us exactly what we needed to make our tours of Altun Ha and the caves a magical (seriously) experience. The homemade lunch we had (his mom made it!) was delicious and the restaurant atmosphere was beautiful and comfortable. If they sold the "hot sauce" (I can only call it that, because it wasn't super hot...it was flavorful with a tiny kick) that they served with the meal was so dang good that I would have bought multiple jars to take home for myself and my friends. Antoine even went out of his way to stop in town before dropping us at our hotel, so we didn't have to pay overpriced costs elsewhere or take a taxi from our hotel in Belize City. I had an awesome 55th birthday and my daughter and her friend had a wonderful senior (year of high school) trip. We had stayed an extra couple of days to fit this excursion in and it was so worth the extra money I spent to extend our vacation. I highly recommend!!!!

David was there waiting at the terminal as promised. He was very fun, friendly and told great stories and had historical knowledge about the city. The van showed its age a bit but the AC worked David made sure we were comfortable. The stop in Altun Ha was very very interesting and we had beautiful views from the top of the temple. Lunch was amazing and we all enjoyed it, even with very different tastes in our group. Gluten free need was also accommodated. Cave tubing was a blast!! Again, David had the knowledge and stories to fill us in. We were back to the ship in plenty of time.

This tour was the best thing we did on our 9 day cruise on the Queen Elizabeth! So glad we didn't sign up for a big crowded tour on a bus! Right outside the tender boat drop off we were met by our tour guide, David, and had the most wonderful day, just him and the three of us. Driven out to the incredible ruins, beating the other tourists, we had the place almost to ourselves.... it was mystical and amazing. Then back in to civilization, where we were met at a roadside restaurant by their pet cow and 2 pups, for a delicious perfectly seasoned chicken lunch and local pop. David is incredibly smart and savvy about everything from government, history, social issues (good and bad but mostly good!) and is very proud of his country! It was like riding with your favorite cool teacher who was also a fascinating and fun YouTube celebrity! (He actually is a little bit of a celebrity! ;) ) For the next 3 hours we headed to the river that winds through beautiful tropical jungle and through the caves. A 20 minute walk to where the tubes were waiting and David led us through "the entrance to the Underworld" as the Mayans believed. It was just incredible and really so worth it. You will not be disappointed! PS a little take home gift from David is the famous Belizean red spice paste! I have a little taste of this beautiful country when I make chicken now! Thank you David!!!

Awesome experience. Our guides David and Antuane are so wonderful. They are the coolest and the friendliest guides we ever met. We weren’t able to go cave tubing because of the heavy rains but Melissa who arranges everything informed us ahead of time and gave us options. We chose zip lining instead and we all had a fantastic time. Lunch was great - a real Belizean dish! I highly recommend this tour with David and Antuane.

We could not have asked for a better tour to Altun Ha and cave tubing! Antwon was such a fun, informative tour guide, and a great photographer! The amount of time spent at Altun Ha was perfect. One of the best parts of the tour was eating lunch cooked by Antwon's mom, which was the best meal we ate in Belize. She was very accommodating of our food allergies, and the food was incredible. Antwon was a great cave tubing guide, and reassured our more hesitant group members. He was very helpful with older members of the group, and truly made it an enjoyable experience for everyone. The walk to the cave was manageable for everyone, and the time in the cave was exciting and relaxing, as Antwon brought us through the cave. Overall, the tour was seamless, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a cave tubing experience!

This was a perfect day for exploring the Belize interior. The van picked us up at the water taxi. The first stop was Altun Ha -- a very approachable Mayan settlement that even these old knees could climb and enjoy. Then a stop at the tour guide's family restaurant for a delicious meal. The day ended with cave tubing. Our guide was incredible - funny, knowledgeable, no canned speeches. I felt very secure with him in the dark caves (with bats) and on the roads. We learned so much and even the teenagers were engaged. And we covered a lot of material -- local elections, food, history, plant life, aquatic life, commerce, agriculture, music, tourism, fishing, housing, etc. We could not stump him. The van returned us at the water taxi just in time to walk right onto the boat. I would do all future tours with this company who has decades of experience and an investment in the well-being of Belize.

Cave Tubing R Us had great communication with us before the tour, answering many questions. They messaged that morning to confirm the tour and the name of our guide. Antuane arrived late to our hotel in a sketchy van...but we went with him anyway! Great decision.... He is a friendly, knowledgeable, experienced tour guide that made our day amazing! We switched to a better van at his family's restaurant and went to our first stop, the Belize Zoo. They were happy to add it on to the day for a very reasonable fee, as we passed right by it. He pulled up the map and information, and walked the zoo with us, sharing information about the animals. My favorite was the harpy eagle. (Be sure to use insect repellent, no matter what time of day you visit!!!) The Cave Tubing stop was amazing....Antuane helped us get set up at the parking area, then led us on the walk to the tubing launch. He has an arrangement with the folks at the launch for keeping his tubes there, so we didn't have to carry them. He roped our 4 tubes together and swam or floated as he guided us through the cave system. The water is cooler than the ocean, but easy to get used to and we were not chilled. We brought small flashlights, which was a good idea as the provided headlamps (attached to helmets) aren't that bright. He pointed out formations of interest and shared information to help us understand what we were seeing. The route circles around to the midpoint of the walk into the launch area, so it's a shorter walk to get back to the parking lot. The parking lot area has toilets, changing rooms and souvenir vendors. We didn't have to rent lockers, as his van was secure for our belongings. Lunch at his family's restaurant was delicious...chicken, rice and beans, veg and plantain. Sodas and water included. Entertainment provided by a couple of cute puppies! Altun Ha... wow. We were there on a Tuesday, and the place was almost deserted. (Not a cruise ship day.) This gave us the opportunity to feel the quiet and majesty of the place. Antuane guided us, which was great because the museum maps were back at the museum! There are stairs cut into rock to climb the main temple; they are not for the faint of heart...steep and uneven. The climb down is a different staircase that is easier to navigate and has handrails all the way. The museum has a replica of the Jade Head that was found here (which is featured on their currency), and nice toilets. We are so happy to have booked with Cave Tubing R Us, and especially Antuane. His years of experience and knowledge of the sites was the foundation of our amazing experience.

Our guide, David, was great! He is very knowledgeable about all the places we saw and all other things "Belize." He was lively and enthusiastic and so fun to talk with. We did the Pyramids first, then we headed to lunch (which was delicious) and finished our tour Cave tubing. The hike to the cave was a little longer than we expected and one of group members walks slow, but David was so patient and accommodating throughout the tour. It was a highlight of our trip!
