This was our second year sailing in April; It NEVER Gets Old! The beautiful water, sky and beach captivate every time. My grands 11, 10 & 8 requested same sail as last year. It was a perfect day for sailing with Cool Beans. This is our go too when entertaining guests. It's always a hit, so much so that this was our third time this season. The captain and first mate are wonderful hosts with a cute and witty sense of humor. The wine, beer and sodas are readily available and in abundance. The views are spectacular and the swim quite refreshing. We never get tired of taking this sail ride.

Pros- awesome boat and very personable and attentive crew - 2 . We did a 10 am ride and when I questioned starting drinking at that hour, they said it’s always Saturday afternoon once on the boat, lol. So free drinks, nice bathroom, great ride. Con’s- understand that you have to swim to shore to get any shells you may want. You are given a regular plastic store bag to collect the shells in. Bring your own mess bag. You are in 6 feet of water when you start swimming the 50 yards or so to the shore. Not a lot of time on the beach, and it was pretty crowded. We have done different rides that take you to a more private beach with better shell collection.

3.0 Cool Beans ride...not so cool

When we were told a sailing and walk on the beach for 35 minutes for shells we were not told a swim from the boat in windy conditions was going to happen. we assumed it would be close enough if not at shore to get off and walk. Two of us could not make that swim. Another cool beans boat docked on the other side of the island where they walked off. I was not happy that my wife and daughter in law could not experience the beach. Would never do it again or suggest to others. For fun with Family and kids go to Pop Stroke in Ft Myers!

Cool Beans is always an incredible trip! We book two or three times a year with friends and family and it never disappoints! Captain Dan is always charming, engaging, and witty and the mates always provide first class service and witty banter, whether it is Kyle, Toni or Axton. Bathrooms are clean, boat is spacious, and safety and comfort are always the priority. At the sunset toast Captain Dan always jokes “If you can’t have a good time here, I’m sorry, but you’re the problem,” and he is not wrong! There are numerous reasons these guys have almost all five star reviews, and the few negative ones make me think of his line that rings so true. Drinks are cold and plentiful, and the laughs are free, book now! P.S. Don’t take Kyle’s cozies!

I was actually on this same excursion, and my experience was completely different. I’ve done several boat trips in different places and keep coming back to Cool Beans Cruises because of how enjoyable and welcoming they make every trip. Daniel and Toni were both great—friendly, attentive, and clearly doing their best to make sure everyone had a good time. The vibe on the boat was relaxed and fun, with people laughing, talking, and genuinely enjoying themselves. We saw multiple dolphins, not just one, which was such a highlight, and the sandbar stop was a blast. People came back excited, showing off shells and talking about how much fun they had swimming. Not every trip is going to look the exact same depending on conditions, but that’s part of being out on the water. What stood out to me was the overall experience—great energy, beautiful scenery, and a crew that cares. I’ll absolutely continue to support Cool Beans Cruises and will be back again. If you’re looking for a fun, laid-back time on the water, this is it.

This is my second experience, using Cool Beans. The boat is nice and clean and sails well. The captain is humorous, and very efficient. The first mate is very personable and he’s able to walk around the boat as nearly as a mountain goat, serving drink drinks, and cracking jokes throughout the trip. It’s a very nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Very nice, new and clean boat. Trip is wonderfully organized and stocked. Kyle was so friendly and helpful to everyone. The man who greeted us before we went on the boat was very nice and informative. The lady in the office answering the phone was very nice and helpful. Great boat ride to Keywadin Island. That was the good. The bad was Captain DAN who was belligerent and very rude to myself and some other women ( who I did not know). Not to the men. No one said anything negative to cause him to go off. A woman asked a respectable question, and he went off and said "do I look like someone......" Shocking. He said be back in an hour or you're staying overnight or on your own. A lady asked "dont you have a horn or whistle or flag?" and again he became nasty. NO !. We had to swim to the island and not everyone has waterproof phones or watches, so help us out here. It's like he wanted to ruin the trip for us. It was terrible to the point when we went back to Naples we booked the same trip with another company. He should not work with the public.

Everything was smooth {sailing} start to finish! From the very first meet&greet with Chuck at the docks {don't forget to lather up with Sunny Sailor sunscreen}, to our sailing chats with Capt Dan and having our favorite First Mate/Bartender, Kyle,at our beck-n-call for 2.5 hours, we had the BEST time sailing the seas with Cool Beans! Seriously such a fun way to spend our Friday afternoon while visiting Marco Island for a Mom's weekend getaway!

1.0 Extremely Disappointing Waste of Money w/ Shockingly Rude Captain Dan

False advertising. I love the water and have done tons of these type of trips all over Florida, Mexico and Caribbean. It's a Catamaran that doesn't sail, which is understandable if there is no wind, but this trip was actually scheduled during low tide, so the trip advertised that we thought we were going on was not available. We spent a whole 13 minutes puttering across the bay to a sandbar and dropped anchor. We left the dock at 10:17 and dropped anchor at 10:30. When my friend who is a local asked the captain about the 'sail' he insisted it was 45 minutes long. "45 minutes there, 45 minutes back." Not only did he blatantly lie about the time, Captain Dan yelled at her and mocked her for asking. It was shocking and his treatment of Kelly scared my daughter. And I was shocked into silence, and did not stand up for my friend. The mother of one of the other families on the boat apologized to us, stating she had the same question, but now was AFRAID to ask. And yes, we understand if there is no wind, you cannot sail, but seriously, tidal tables are available up to 2 years in advance, so why advertise a certain trip and set the time for when you know you can't ACTUALLY do the trip. For $40 less, we could have done the same trip on a motor boat at a different location at a different time with a nicer crew. (Side note, the guy who passed out soda, water and beer was very nice, but the trip also advertised free snacks.). Of note, we did a different trip the next day with a different company and had an amazing experience.

our two instructors captain patrick and marshall were AMAZING!!! they were so funny and personable and truly cared about all the people onboard. we tanned, we drank, we swam, we picked shells, it was the most perfect day. shoutout to both of these captains because they truly cared and did an amazing job keeping us safe and having an amazing time w them! 10/10 would recommend doing this excursion! it was so fun, family friendly, and was cool i want to do it again tmr!! if you’re thinking about it, JUST DO IT!!!!

Very friendly greeting upon arrival. The catamaran was immaculately clean! The captain and first mate were very nice and kept us informed. The drinks were plentiful and they even served them to us. We collected so many beautiful shells. I highly recommend this experience. My friend and both said that we just wished they offer longer excursions. Definitely do this if you’re looking for a beautiful experience on the Gulf!

Captain Patrick and Mate Sean were amazing. They provided exceptional service with drinks and sharing their experiences with us. The ride was very calm and little to no movement on the boat itself. The island was beautiful as well, more shells than you can count and the water is super calm and warm. This trip is a must if you're ever in the Naples/Marco Island area.

Experienced a great time on an afternoon catamaran cruise. Captain Dan and first mate Jack were pleasant and accomodating. Jack always made sure we had plenty to drink and Captain Dan paused long enough for us to enjoy watching lots of playful dolphins. We then we had an easy, unrushed swim to Keewaydin Island from the boat. Highly recommend.

Great sail with Capt Patrick. We saw lots of dolphins swimming near the boat. Lot of amazing shells in the shallows. Bring your own mesh bag and be prepared to really swim to the beach. It was 15-20 yds. Get the floatie!

We had the best catamaran ride with Cool Beans! The captain and first mate were awesome, and so fun! The beverage service was top notch. The boat itself was wicked comfortable and had shady spots and awesome seating up front on the nets. Jumping off the boat and swimming in the ocean was so refreshing and fun. The whole ride was well run, entertaining and super safe. I was with my husband and 2 fifteen year olds and we all had a great experience. I’d recommend this trip to anyone visiting the area.

This was the second year we went on a Cool Beans catamaran shelling excursion. We had so much fun last year we did it again this year. Captain Dan was great! He was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Our group really enjoyed jumping off the boat and swimming to the island for shelling. I would recommend Cool Beans cruises to anyone looking to enjoy a few hours of relaxation and fun on the ocean.

I had seen this boat pull up to Keewaydin last year and everyone on it looked so happy so I decided we had to go this year. I am not sorry at all! From start to finish it was a great trip. Captain Patrick and First Mate Kyle were the best. Funny, helpful and attentive. We got to sail a bit and saw plenty of dolphins. They made sure we were well hydrated and took care of the shells we found on Keewaydin. It is the perfect length trip to be out on the water and in the sun. Linda who checked us in was friendly and also helpful. I have been coming to Marco since I was a child (don’t ask how long ago that was) and she was able to tell me new places to try on the island. I will be back in August with my family and we will definitely book again. Thx, Cool Beans!
