We were able to hire the service at very short notice but everything was in order from the moment of booking. The communication was accurate, the withdrawal schedule was met accurately and in the indicated place. A separate word for the guide Jose Acevedo, not only fulfilled his job but gave us the tips and additional information that was emerging from the conversation, also was flexible to adjust the tour to our concerns. He was even encouraged to have a bitter mate! The experience was exceptional and allowed to enjoy the Canal, Old Town and other places.

José guided us on a GREAT 1/2 day private tour of Casco Viejo, the Amador Causeway and the Panama Canal. He helped us feel welcome and took us to some great stores - chocolate, a hat shop and souvenirs. He shared his rich knowledge of Panama, was warm and professional. Josè was a great tour guide for our day of sightseeing in Panama City. He met us promptly at our hotel in Casco Viejo and drove us to several sites around the city, including a neighborhood called El Chorillo, the causeway, and the Miraflores visitor center. We started the day with Eddie, our guide, who picked us (and our luggage) up at the hotel. We toured Old Town and visited a museum with indigenous stitched artwork called Mola. So beautiful! Then we toured the Miraflores locks where we saw the Imax movie about the construction of the canal. After that, we embarked on our ship and settled in for our cruise. It was a fabulous day! We especially appreciated the flexibility of this tour, and we were able to do all of the activities that we wanted.

5.0 Gino- A highlight of our Panamá experience

This was an amazing tour. We got to see the Panamá Canal with a ship moving through the gates. We also watched the film narrated by Morgan Freeman. We ate authentic Panamanian food, and got to see some nice viewpoints across the city. Gino was the perfect host, and gave plenty of history of Panamá City. This is a must for your Panamá city agenda.

1.0 I would not recommend Destino Panama 360 as a tour operator

Jose the owner of Destino Panama 360 contracted out our tour to Rodolfo.
What we did not like:
Guide spoke little English
Vehicle not mechanically sound. Appeared to have a power issue. Driver confirmed there was a mechanical problem. Drove well below speed limit. On highways it felt a little dangerous as other vehicles kept weaving past us at high speed.
Despite 4 verbal and written requests 9f a confirmed itinerary, the itinerary was not what was agreed upon.
Very poor time management of tour
Most disappointing was the Canal tour. Guide was not present to assist with most of the tour. We had purchased both the canal and IMAX tickets in advance online. Did not end up watching IMAX.
Expected to spend a little time walking in old town. We drive through it.
It was an extremely hot day. No water in car. Asked driver to stop somewhere so we could buy the water. At that point he purchased 2 small bottles of water almost 5 hours into the tour.

Knowledgeable but language was a barrier.

Jose was a great guy - both knowledgeable and friendly.. We really enjoyed our trip up the hill to see the panoramic views of Panama city and its surroundings. The canal tourist and IMAX centre were also well worth the visit.

This was quickly arranged because of a long-layover in Panama City on the way to Quito. It was easy to set up. Our guide was there to greet us and knowing the amount of layover time was able to see the Canal, ships passing through, and old town and newer city. We were able to view a sloth in the wild. Our tour was with Destino Panama 360, fantastic communication prior to the tour starting. Our guide, Christian picked us up from our hotel and took us on a well informed tour of Panama City, the Canal, and Old Panama! He even took us to a nice restaurant and waited while we ate lunch! We offered to buy his lunch, but he was working and declined.

5.0 Amazing 24-hour stop-over in Panama

Our Summer 2025 adventure has begun.
First leg... 24 hours in Panama, my first visit, and oh how amazing it was.
The City and Panama Canal half-day Private Tour, with our very knowledgeable and affable guide Jose, from Destination 360, was sooo interesting. Panama City is beautiful. From its multiple and spread-out skyrises which provides a perfect backdrop; the rich cultural heritage of the old town with its heavy Spanish influenced architecture; multiple museums; the Saint Joseph Church with the golden altar and artifacts, including a wholescale replica depicting the life of Jesus Christ; the majestic main Santa Maria Cathdral whose bells ring on the hour; Founders Square and the French Square, driving across the Causeway... so many other beautiful sights and sounds of a vibrant city, and warm welcoming people.
The highpoint of course was the Miraflores Visitor's Centre, IMAX movie on the history of the Panama Canal, and witnessing from the Observation Deck a humongous cargo ship, the Clipper Explorer, expertly guided through the different water levels of the locks of the Canal by mini locomotives attached to the ship by steel cables.
My amareur pics do not begin to capture the essence of this unforgettable experience.

Great tour with an excellent guide in Gino. He walked us through the history and culture of Panama City. Even took us to an excellent seafood spot. It made us want to come back for a longer stay.
