4.0 Good tour of Rock.

Royal_K, April 2026

Not sure what we paid for. The minibus tour was great and our guide was very good. Cave was very colorful and pretty and we got entrance to that with tour. Seemed like most of the rest they didn't charge for, we just walked in. Enjoyed our time, but as I said, other than the 2 hour minibus tour and cave, not sure what we paid for. Also, tried to take bus from town to border/airport and couldn't find stops for bus. So much construction going on, many stops are in different places than maps show.

4.0 It was a fun experience,...

CharLotte_V, March 2026

It was a fun experience, some of the activities on the rock was closed, but was still worth the visit 😊

1.0 Don't make the mistake we did!

robbO2181FB, March 2026

The Gibraltar Pass advertises “instant activation” on their website, but this is simply not true. You must activate it at the cable car entrance. This is incredibly frustrating if you plan to hike instead of taking the cable car. We made the mistake of trying to activate it at the Mediterranean Steps entrance, of course it didn’t work, so we wasted hours walking all the way back down just to activate something that was supposed to be ready instantly. The pass also promises various “free extras” like water or drinks, but there’s no clear information on where or how to claim any of it. It feels like a scavenger hunt with no actual reward. Once you finally get into the nature reserve, it becomes obvious that the standard Gibraltar Nature Reserve ticket is significantly cheaper than the inflated price of the Gibraltar Pass. This company is essentially reselling the same product with added inconvenience and a hefty markup. Save yourself the hassle, confusion, and extra cost. Buy the official Nature Reserve pass on-site instead, it’s straightforward, cheaper, and avoids all the unnecessary complications.

Response from Host, March 2026

Sorry to hear about your experience. Not sure when this happened to you as the cable-car been closed since last November. Anyway, when buying the Pass on OUR website you do get the activated passes immediately to your email. You do need to present it at the entrance to the Nature Reserve to have it validated so not sure what happened to you at the ticket office there but always best to contact our Support team by Whatsapp or email and we could have resolved it there and then. You are not comparing like-to-like in relation to the nature reserve ticket as the pass also includes travel on public transport routes, entrance to the Alameda Zoo and the additional perks and discounts are available- just Google the name of the establishment and you can easily find them- Gibraltar is very small. Fact is that thousands of visitors use our pass and are very happy and get great value for money out of it.

4.0 An exhausting day out on the Rock.

GrandTour114421, December 2025

I was in Gibraltar for a few days and wanted to visit the Historical sites, so getting a Gibraltar Pass, seemed logical thing to do this. Unknown to me at the time of booking, the Cable Car was out of commission, so access to the sites could be a problem. No Taxi company was willing to take me to the top unless I took one of their sight seeing tours, which may have been a better option, considering the Cable Car was out of action. However, I'm reasonably fit for my age, I decided to walk up the Rock starting at the Moorish Castle and working my way up via WWII & Great Siege Tunnels etc. I had planned to do it reverse, Cable Car and walking down being easier. Showed my pass at the Entrance, to the Nature Reserve, and got a wrist band for access to the all the sites of interest. Because of restoration works going on at the Castle, it prevented me going in there. Although it was a bit of a slog, I carried up the hill stopping at each historical sight. The QR code on the wrist band was scanned at each entry point, which allowed me entry. Eventually got to the top and came down via the Skywalk and St Michael's Cave, where I stopped and had a late lunch in the Cabin. I was really impressed with all the Exhibitions. Its was 30 years since last visited and they have been renovated to show how it was at the time they were constructed. St. Michael's was absolutely amazing with its sound and light. display. Then it was a hike back to town, an exhausting day, but well worth it. PS: Had no issued with the Apes, other than a little one wanted a Piggy Back, up the hill.

3.0 Needed another ticket other than the one supplied by Viator. .

Angelique_C, November 2025

After purchasing your tickets and clicking “get your tickets” you get a barcoded ticket. Then you receive an email that says to put your email address in again to get your ticket?? I thought it was a scam until I reached the bus only to discover I needed to follow the instructions on the second email to resend my email to receive the correct ticket. This delayed our experience by 30-45”.

5.0 Only try walking to...

Iain_S, November 2025

Only try walking to everything on the rock if you are reasonably fit. The caves take a lot more time than you might think.

3.0 It’s hard to get the ticket you actually paid for.

Bill C, October 2025

The pass itself was good value - cable car up and all the attractions of the nature area, tunnels, etc. BUT getting the tickets paid for is a very cumbersome process, one that in the end did not work without the help of a fabulous lady at the cable care entry. Without her help we would have had to buy new tickets. It’s a silly process that needs to be significantly streamlined.

2.0 Saddened due to traffic and congestion

Joy_W, October 2025

If you are in a time crunch at all, please do not go. We waited for two hours to get through border patrol due to construction!!! We were very saddened for all the things that we missed and very disappointed that there was such a delay to even get through the line due to traffic and hectic environment. We never even made it to scan our tickets in for an activity.

Response from Host, October 2025

Sorry to hear about your experience at the border queue and the traffic. Nevertheless, this has nothing to do with the GibraltarPass product itself.

4.0 Plan Your Visit Carefully!

Orlando_D, August 2025

The cable car is separate from the other activities. It’s best to use a cab or an agent if you are interested in the other activities.

1.0 Misleading

Goroda, April 2025

The description of the pass is very misleading. It promises public transport in Gibraltar. However, the buses in Gibraltar are NOT covered.

1.0 Rip-off

Majid_M, April 2025

This experience was a complete rip-off. First of all, the tour operator failed to clearly inform us that there were two separate options for getting to the top: 1. By car 2. By cable car The way it was explained made it seem like we could use both options. When we arrived at the meeting point, I asked when we would be using the cable car, only to be told that we could choose just one. Since we had already paid for the cable car, we stuck with it—big mistake. The cable car was a total disaster. We ended up waiting over three hours due to poor management. People who hadn’t pre-paid were just allowed to merge into the line, making the wait unbearable. It absolutely wasn’t worth it. My advice: skip this ticket entirely. Just go directly to the cable car station, and for around 10 euros extra, you can join a minibus tour there. Don’t waste 100 euros on this tour when you can do something better for half the price. Avoid this scam.

Response from Host, April 2025

Dear Majid, Sorry to hear that this was your experience but you have contacted our support team the day before your visit asking to clarify how the Pass works and we have specifically wrote to you that you have the choice of reaching the attractions either by cable-car or by minibus Rock Tour, but not both. Moreover, at short notice we were able to secure places for you on the minibus Rock Tour and even after you made a mistake and booked just 1 place on the minibus tour instead of 4 places we were able to correct this for you and reserve 4 places for you on the minibus Rock Tour. You then showed up on the day of the tour and after arguing with the staff there you decided not take the minibus tour and do the cable-car instead, which means we have lost 4 places on the tour which could have been used by other visitors. On the date of your visit there were two cruise liners in port which meant there was a big volume of visitors to the cable car in a short space of time which resulted in long queues. The GibraltarPass does not operate the cable-car and we have no idea how the cable-car staff managed the queue that it caused such a long delay for you. Again, the GibraltarPass offered you everything that it proposes to provide - but you chose to ignore the instructions provided and not board a tour for which we have already reserved places for you. Every coin has two sides...

1.0 Disappointed and had no way to use pass

Joanne_B, April 2025

The Bus drivers did not accept out city pass and they said they never knew anything about them. We both have mobility problems and our shuttle from the ship dropped us right in the town centre where the buses start their route. It was a waste of our money. We spoke to 3 drivers and they said they didn’t have any idea of the pass. We called the shuttle and returned to the ship losing the money we spent. We reported it to the Gilbratar tourist information in the cruise ship terminal and he said they should have known about it and he apologized and pass the information on to his boss. I. Would request a refund as this was their error not ours.

Response from Host, April 2025

Hi Joanne, Apologies for your experience. It seems that the drivers you spoke to were not from the included bus routes 5&10 and hence the pass was not accepted there. There are full instructions on our website on where to find the bus stop for routes 5&10 when coming from the cruise terminal, and indeed many passengers from your cruise were able to make full use of their GibraltarPass. Anyway, we are happy for full refund to be issued to you by Viator.

5.0 Amazing day on Gibraltar

Linda_S, March 2025

A LOT of walking. If possible, stay overnight and spend one day up on the rock, and the other enjoying the city. It was really too much for one day. We ended up walking g a the way down the mountain and through a lot of the city to get back to the bottom of the cable car. That was a really neat, if tiring, experience. Remember, if you have this pass, vto ask for discounts on food and purchases. we forgot.

4.0 Good value with included perks

ALAN_I, November 2024

A little complicated to get started with need for more than one download but once started it was useful.

3.0 Gibraltar

nadine_l, October 2024

The cable car was awesome and of course the whole visit but for the 1st time disappointed with Viator as we wasted over an hour to find the address red sands street which is a building not where to exchange the tickets. It would have been clear to say at Cable car prepaid tickets. Once the woman at cashier helped us she had to call your office to confirm all went smoothly.

3.0 Unclear instructions

Pierre_B, October 2024

First time disappointed with Viator. Unclear instructions caused us to lose valuable time trying to find the point of exchange for our vouchers. Thanks to a very helpful lady at the exchange counter we were able to get our tickets. Hopefully this will not happen again.

3.0 No Tram

Kris_K, October 2024

Because the tram was not running the day we had tickets… We were unable to enjoy the highlights of the pass!

4.0 Pay attention to instructions! Need to download same day prior to attraction

Deborah_S, August 2024

Once we figured out how to get the email to download( after paying for cable car again) we had access to the attractions up on the rock. It was an amazing experience. Sweaty, happy memorable day!!

1.0 Beware of the Gibraltar Pass - Not Worth the Money

Bo_Copenhagen, August 2024

I strongly advise against purchasing the Gibraltar Pass. It's essentially a money-grabbing scheme with little to no real value. If you're considering buying it, make sure to thoroughly read what's included because there are several major drawbacks that make it a poor investment: 1. **No Queue Advantage for the Cable Car**: One of the biggest disappointments is that the pass offers no advantage when it comes to queuing for the cable car. When we visited Gibraltar, the queue was over 100 meters long. Although the pass can't control the crowd size, the fact that you can’t skip the line or get any priority access means you might end up unable to use it at all. Essentially, you're paying for something that could be useless if you can't even access the attraction. 2. **Limited and Inconvenient Options**: The pass only allows you to choose between the mini bus tour or the cable car, but there’s a catch—the mini bus tour doesn’t start until 12:30 PM, which was too late for us. This limited scheduling can throw off your entire day, especially if you were planning on an early start to explore Gibraltar. 3. **Costly to Cancel**: Be very cautious about the cancellation policy. If you decide the pass isn't for you and haven't activated it, you can technically get a "full" refund. However, this so-called full refund comes with a hefty £15 per pass charge for bank fees and administrative costs. We bought three passes in a single transaction and ended up losing £45, which is an outrageous fee for something we didn’t even use. In summary, the Gibraltar Pass is overpriced and underdelivers. You’re better off purchasing tickets directly at the attractions or considering other options. Save yourself the hassle, disappointment, and unnecessary costs.

Response from Host, August 2024

Sorry that this was your experience, but your claims are unjustified. 1. We are aware that indeed there was a lengthy queue at the Cable-Car due to cruise liner in port that day which saw large volume of visitors in a short time, but given that this is the high tourism season, queues can be expected at popular attractions. Moreover, we don't manage the attraction ourselves, so not sure how the staff at the Cable-Car managed the queue, but given that many of the visitors that day came from the cruise, most of them bought the pre-paid tickets and so the pre-paid line was long. This is not our fault and beyond our control. Normally the Pass saves you the long queuing time to purchase tickets, but if everybody buys the "Skip the queue" pass then you will still get a queue. You advise people to buy directly at the cable-car, but this would not put them in any advantage position- on the contrary. 2. The time of the Minibus Rock tour (12:30pm) is published on our website, so people can plan accordingly. That time may not have suited you specifically, but for many others it is perfect as by the time they arrive in Gibraltar, cross the border and get to the city centre this allows them to do the tour at a comfortable time that is not too early and not too late. 3. Most places around the world do not give you any refund at all after you buy the tickets just because there was a long queue...Is Disneyland offering people refund because there are long queues to the rides? Unfortunately the banks do charge us for both receiving funds and sending funds so yes we do incur costs when refunding, not to mention added accounting costs and admin time for our staff to deal with these refunds. So unless we have these cancellation fees, people can just take advantage of all the benefits and discounts offered by our Pass and then decide they wish to cancel...So this way people will think twice before cancelling. We always give people the option also to change the date to another day free of charge in case they were unable to use it on the date they planned. You need to look at things from both sides before writing such comments.

5.0 Best of Gibraltar

Trevor_C, August 2024

Easy to book on line with Viator. Get there early to avoid the queues. We did just that and got there 20 minutes before opening time and 2nd in line. By the time it opened the queue enormous. Enjoyed the cable car ride up to the top. Fantastic views over Gibraltar and across the sea. One up there there is a cafe and rest rooms. Its very steep so wear shoes you are comfortable walking in. Enjoyed all the sights, Skywalk, The Angel of St Michael's cave, not to be missed. Also the Ape Den and Windsor Suspension Bridge. The reserve itself is lovely. We walked down back into town. Took it slowly as it was a moderate not easy walk but we got to see lots more of the park.

1.0 It can hardly get any worse...don't buy it

Kissmefaster, April 2024

It couldn't get much worse. We wanted to take the cable car up. Waiting time was over 120 minutes. I wanted to book a bus instead. That didn't work because you had to reserve it the day before. There were lots of buses like that at the valley station. You would have had to pay extra for them. If you buy the pass you lose the flexibility to change your plans at short notice. The seller isn't helpful...

5.0 A workout in Gibraltar

Anne_S, October 2023

We walked off our cruise ship to the bus stop (#5/10) which was included in the ticket. It took us to the cable car stop where we redeemed our tickets and got the wristbands. Easy peasy! Then up to the top. One BIG recommendation would be to walk to the War Tunnels first, as the pedestrian path is steep and would be more easily done in this direction; we came back this way and had a very long, hot walk uphill. St Michael's Cave is marvelous. The roadside signs are pretty poor, and lacking in proper updates as to the distance left to the attractions. Good walking shoes and lots of water required to do this on foot.

1.0 Not worth it

133becky, October 2023

We were deliberating on getting this pass for months before we came to Gibraltar weighing up wether it was worth it or not. We only decided when we got there we were going to go through with it which was a big mistake. My mum has mobility issues so wanted to do the mini bus tour up the rock. I just say our tour guide was lovely and very informative however it wasn’t quite long enough. We only got 15 mins or less at each stop and you don’t visit everything up the rock such as the sky walk or the Windsor bridge, which we still wanted to do. The tour started at 12.30 which meant we didn’t have time to fit any other attractions in before this as they don’t open until around 10 o’clock or later and we had to be at the pickup point half an hour before. When we finished we wanted to go back up the rock to do the above activities we’d missed out so we were going to pay for the cable car up as you can’t do both on the pass. The women was trying to charge us £35 each and we said no we have a pass that allows us into the nature reserve (where the skywalk and bridge are) so we just need return cable car. She said because we’ve already been up the rock we can’t re enter to do those things and have to buy access into the nature reserve again. Instead we decided to go along to the botanical gardens ,which have the conservation zoo inside, only to find out the gardens are free to enter and the zoo shut at 4.30. We had arrived at 4.15 and it was already shut and because the minibus tour ended at nearly 3pm it doesn’t give you enough time afterwards to get to any other activities before they shut. The pass also offers freebies and discounts in shops however I presume you need to buy food to get the free glass of wine they offer but they stopped doing food and 2 of the places at 7pm so that was those out the window. Then the 3rd place we tried was too packed for us to get in so we were unable to even make the most of that. Overall it was a crappy experience because everywhere we went was just a let down all day.

Response from Host, November 2023

We regret that your recent visit to Gibraltar using the GibraltarPass didn't meet your expectations. To address your concerns, we'd like to provide some clarification on the points you raised: Our mini bus tour, as described on our website, is a 2-hour experience aimed at providing a comprehensive overview of the Rock of Gibraltar. We understand that preferences for the duration of such tours can vary. While our tour includes many popular highlights, it doesn't cover every single attraction on the Rock due to time constraints. It is possible for passengers to get off the tour after visiting the cave and continue on foot to visit the other attractions at their own pace, without time constraints. Perhaps you should have done that. As for the freebies and discounts, including the free glass of wine, they typically don't have purchase conditions unless specified by the individual vendors, so you could have had your free glass of wine without the need to purchase food- that's why the GibraltarPass does offer so much value for money, if you use it effectively. We encourage visitors to explore the numerous freebies and discounts among the 100+ participating shops, restaurants and activity providers. The Gibraltar Pass has provided thousands of customers with memorable and enriching experiences in Gibraltar, and we're committed to delivering the best possible experience to all our valued customers.

2.0 Cable car closed, discussions and grumpy faces

bbS5571RY, August 2023

The idea of this pass seems alright, but it's not as hassle free as we expected. The bus (line 10) from the border to the cable car was okay, although we received a somewhat displeased look from the bus driver when we showed our pass. Once we got to the cable car station, it turned out that it was closed due to the wind. That by itself isn't a problem and outside anyone's control I'm sure, but it's impossible to then reserve a spot on the mini van connected to the Gibraltar Pass, because you need to do that 24h before departure. The options to make a reservation on the website are simply disabled for the current day! When we asked the Gibraltar Pass site what to do about it, we only received an answer after 4:00pm so that was of no use to us for the rest of the day. In the mean time, we decided to take our loss and hop into one of the alternative mini van operators, effectively having to pay again for access to the rock and the nature reserve. Since the mini van didn't take us to all the places we wanted to see and since the Gibraltar Pass wasn't used for accessing the reserve yet, we decided to hike up to the Moorish Castle and use the pass to gain entrance there. The guys behind the ticket desk immediately started a discussion that the pass (or "voucher" as they kept calling it) wasn't valid for this entrance and that it was probably sold by "that company that deals with the cable car" and that it didn't apply to their LTD company. After us insisting they try to put the cart into their system, suddenly out came the entrance tickets. Not accepting defeat, they kept rambling on that they could punch in any random voucher number and their system would accept it. But eventually they gave us the tickets without further payment. After hiking back to the city center, we decided to hop on the bus (line 5) back to the border. When we presented the pass, the bus driver kept saying "No, no, do you have a ticket?" after which we kept replying: "This should allow on this bus.". After a big sigh and a somewhat aggressive way of handling the ticket printer, he gave us the tickets and let us on, but something tells me that he wasn't convinced. BTW: If you're curious what the answer was from Gibraltar Pass: I might paraphrase a bit, but it came down to: "Then find something else to do." Conclusion: Buy this pass only if: - You are sure the cable car is going on the day of activation; - You are willing to take the risk of making a backup reservation for the mini van 24h before the day of activation which you cancel if the cable car happens to be in operation (but will they let you on if you used the pass on the van reservation? Idk!); - You don't mind grumpy looks and discussions; - You think the freebies are worth it. If any of the above is "no" for you, then it's probably not worth it. Keep in mind that the entrance to the nature reserve and the transport to it (cable car or some mini van) is all you really need to pay for. AFAIK, everything inside the nature reserve doesn't cost anything extra, so Gibraltar Pass listing attractions inside the reserve as if they bring value to all of them separately is a tiny little bit misleading in my opinion.

5.0 Get it cheaper by paying separately

Jsharrisx, July 2023

We booked the gibraltar pass. We didnt need too. It would have been cheaper to buy separately. Cable cars return is £19. Nature reserve is £18. And by time you have been to aee everything, you are half way down the rock. Might as well just buy one way cable car and nature reserve ticket. There was no ques to buy tickets. Save your money. But the experience was worth it.

Response from Host, July 2023

Glad you enjoyed your visit to Gibraltar...with regard to the GibraltarPass, the advantages are way beyond just the cable car and nature reserve, as you are forgetting that the Pass includes free return bus transportation from the border to the city centre and to the cable car as well as other attractions which are not in the nature reserve such as the Zoo at the Alameda Gardens as well as many Freebies (free wine at several restaurants, free bottle of water, free souvenir, free gib tasting and more) along with exclusive discounts in over 100 shops, restaurants and other activities across Gibraltar, making the GibraltarPass not only the most value for money but also the ultimate way to experience Gibraltar!

1.0 Downloaded tickets did not work.

Connie_D, May 2023

We got the confirmation email with link to download and save tickets to Apple Wallet. I did not bring the printout with me. Mistake to expect technology to work. At the window, they would not give me tickets. Said they do not work with Viator. Did not speak good English. Had to call supervisor a d hold up line for 10 minutes so we missed taking cable car with the rest of our party. It would have been easier to buy tickets there as they feed everyone into the same line. They really wanted to make me pay again. Be careful with this one.

Response from Host, May 2023

Dear Connie, Thanks for your feedback. However, the problem was that you DID NOT show them the actual Passes but instead just the email confirmation from Viator which is not the actual pass- hence it was not possible to scan it! The actual Passes were sent to your email on 23rd May. If you had them with you on your mobile there wouldn't have been any issue. Instead we actually had to issue you with new ones and were able to do so within few minutes from the moment our support team was contacted by the cable car ticket office, so you should actually be grateful of the quick service you received rather than complain about something which was not our fault.

2.0 Will do more research before ordering.

Lois_C, May 2023

We didn’t fully understand about the transportation options. Walking around was very difficult so we weren’t able to fully utilize the pass.

Response from Host, May 2023

Dear Lois, Sorry to hear about your experience. Our website actually provides suggested itineraries which give detail of the transport arrangements included in each itinerary.

5.0 2 places was closed so we can't used it at all.

198lenkar, May 2023

I ordered our passes directly via www.Gibraltarpass,and paid its evening. Nothing got me. So I ordered passes again via Viator and paid it again, but paying didn't accept. Next day I see my passes at my email and these were from Viator. So I canceled my ordering via www. gibraltarpasss. Then someone wrote me text message, why I canceled my passes, and I describehim, becouse I have double ordering. And this guy help me and explain, it is the same order via Gibraltarpass,so I was surpreised, but satisfied. Thanks for help!👍 Lenka

Response from Host, May 2023

Dear Lenka, Thanks for your review. Indeed your initial order

4.0 Good pass if you have a whole day and evening to spend in Gibraltar

David_F, April 2023

We really enjoyed our day in Gibraltar, but we were on a cruise and would say that the Discount Pass is more suited to people who have the whole day and evening to utilise it. The buses included in the Pass didn't run from the port and hence we walked to the cable car. Even with the pass, we had to queue for 30 mins to get on the cable car, as the attendants gave priority to customers on an excursion from the cruise ship. Once at the top, we thoroughly enjoyed St Michaels Caves and were able to walk on the Sky Walk, but the tunnels were closed. We didn't have time to visit any other places included in the pass as the ship was sailing at 4.30pm.

Response from Host, April 2023

Dear David, thank you for your review. In fact you could have taken bus routes 5&10 from the stop near the cruise port gates to the cable-car as that is included in the Pass. Also when you have the Pass you don't need to wait at the queue for the cable-car tickets and just go to the pre-paid line, so should be quicker. Glad you enjoyed the attractions you visited and pity that your cruise was leaving early so you couldn't make more use of all the benefits of the GibraltarPass.

5.0 A good day trip

BWChu, April 2023

We ordered the Gibraltar pass on line and it was totally worth it. It includes everything you need to see in Gibraltar. I think if we had followed instructions and parked as they specified, we would have avoided the long customs line to exit. We wanted to walk, so if a traveler does not, they should do a guided tour - the vans drive up the mountain. However, the cable car is a must, unless you are committed to hiking - very vigorous to go up the entire mountain.

Response from Host, April 2023

Thank you very much for your review and glad to see you enjoyed your day on the Rock of Gibraltar with the GibraltarPass.

2.0 12 hour total only 4 hours in Morocco, not worth it

Carmella_M, March 2023

The total trip lasted 12 hours. However, we were only in Morocco for 4 hours. I was picked up a little after 7. We boarded the speed ferry around 9:15. We arrived in Morocco at 10:30. The tour bus was entirely too fast to get good pictures. The food was not high quality Moroccan food. It was like cafeteria food with hints of Moroccan flavor. We only had 15 mins at the bazaar. Then back to the ferry at 14:30. Spent a couple hours on speed ferry and going through checkpoints. Then back on bus and reached my drop off spot at 19:30.

Response from Host, March 2023

Good morning Carmella, Your Review is not of the GibraltarPass experience but of an excursion to Morocco probably done with another tour company. You did not take the GibraltarPass as we only tour Gibraltar. Please change your Review to the correct company you did the trip with. Kind regards The GibraltarPass Team www.GibraltarPass.com

3.0 Went thru Gibraltar Strait.

Amibhanu171, March 2023

It was Gibraltar Pass I went, I did see the strait and the ships lined up to cross. With me it happen between 3-5 am, but kept myself awake to watch it, though it was dark. Only the lights of both sides of the Continents were guiding us to analyse the narrowness of the strait. I went to Tangier, Casablanca, Ceuta and Malaga on the Cruise ship. At Malaga taking an excursion of 8 hours to Giraltar was an opportunity to visit, but we opted for a trip to MIJAS,Spain and from a distance from the hill top we just the Gibraltar rock. Gibraltar is basically nothing except for British military, some caves and rocks. Where as MIJAS was gorgeous and spectacular. My previous visit to Santorini Greece was the reason and also many people's view about Gibraltar mattered too.

Hi, Your Review is not of the GibraltarPass experience but of an excursion to Morocco probably done with another tour company. You did not take the GibraltarPass as we only tour Gibraltar. Please change your Review to the correct company you did the trip with. Kind regards The GibraltarPass Team www.GibraltarPass.com

2.0 Full price, attractions closed

patdiver, February 2023

Despite having to pay the full price, two major attractions in Gibraltar are currently closed and not accessible to the public: the World War II tunnels and the O'Hara battery.

Response from Host, February 2023

1.0 Pass on the Gibraltar Pass

Davette_J, December 2022

We received poor instructions stating that it was necessary to go to the Cable Car to get tickets...which we did. Only to be told at the Cable Car that we had to go back to the location to get the Mini Rock Tour which we had signed up for. It took us over an hour and half to walk there and back. When we arrived at the location to take the rock tour, they took our printed paper tickets. On the trip, we only had 3 stops (not the 4 shown on the description) and when we were dropped off - we had no ability to go to any additional attractions as they had taken out tickets. We were left with no way to get to the other attractions as they had taken our printed tickets. The public transportation/buses are so slow and infrequent that we would have spent more time waiting for them. In short, we were extremely disappointed to have spent more than $110 for a simple 'van drive' at 3 stops for an 1 hour and 45 minute trip. To come that far, and not to have the full experience was truly a very, very poor excursion option.

5.0 Fantastic

St Michael's cave was inspiring. It was nice to see yhe world war 2 mountain tunnels. Overall, a pleasant experience

3.0 Need better customer service and support.

Kyle_K, September 2022

Obtaining the overall pass was great. The primary issue was with the transportation that we thought were included. The bus and taxi drivers were unwilling to accept the Viator pass according to them the pass not valid for any transportation. The drivers were only available for tours. Our only option was to walk to our destination or pay the fare for a bus pass. Totally unacceptable by the operator’s. Beautiful scenery but sadly lacking in customer service. Clearly only wanted tours since the cruise ship was in.

Response from Host, September 2022

Dear Kyle, As specified on the Pass and on our website, the Pass is valid for routes 10 & 5 only, so not sure why you tried to use them at the taxis? Moreover, from your comment it looks like you tried to use the Viator booking confirmation that was sent to you rather than the actual GibraltarPasses that were emailed to you in advance, which are the actual tickets to be used. This may have caused the confusion with the bus driver as they are instructed only to accept the GibraltarPass tickets with the QR code and logo. A Rock Tour is included in the GibraltarPass, but as stated on our website, you have to reserve your place at least 1 day in advance. Otherwise, you could have taken the buses from near the Cruise Port gate to the Cable Car as recommended in the Itineraries on the GibraltarPass website, rather than having to walk. Glad to hear you enjoyed the scenery and the Pass was easy to obtain, but sorry to hear the experience with the transport operators was not as expected. Best regards The GibraltarPass Team Support@GibraltarPass.com

2.0 not worth

aaM2735NY, April 2022

Not recommending. I have spent 93£ on Gibraltar pass (adult +child), but actually you can get same entrance options if you buy Cable Car + Natural Park tickets, what will be just 56£ (adult +child). Freebies are not working as mentioned, Eroski Center staff don't know about them, and refused to provide.

Response from Host, May 2022

It's a pity that you didn't make much use of the GibraltarPass. There are ample freebies in restaurants and shops including free glasses of wine, gin tasting, tapas, souvenir key ring and much more. Moreover, the Pass includes the Alameda Zoo, free use of buses from border to city centre and plenty of discounts in other activities. As for Eroski staff not knowing about it, this must have been a random case as plenty of GibraltarPass users have received their free bottle of water at Eroski. Altogether, the GibraltarPass provides ample value for money and a superior experience giving visitors much beyond just the traditional tourist attractions.
