The first thing to realise is that this is a tour of the winery with no commentary on the one hour journey there or back (just radio music). We were picked up from our Santiago hotel in an very comfortable eight-seater minivan by a driver who could only communicate very sparingly via Google Translate, but that was fine as there wasn't much to say. One of the three couples on the minivan could not speak English or Spanish anyway. I should also add that the traffic in Santiago is terrifyingly horrific so the driver was worth every penny! Once at the winery we were divide into language groups and joined by other English-speaking people on the 'English' tour. Our guide Bianca spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were able to taste different varieties of grapes straight from the vine - and we could taste the difference between them. After a great tour we were able to sample five wines, including the wonderful Carmenere. They then boxed up our wine glasses for us to keep as souvenirs! I could not fault this tour - well done Bianca and Undurraga Vineyard, and of course our driver.

Booked the tour for Saturday but later informed no available English speaking guide on that day so went the next afternoon. Driver arrived on time and used the goggle translator for information. The winery tour was excellent, very informative. Plenty of wine to taste ,even allowed to taste the grapes. Received a gift at the end. Many thanks to Caesar and Catalina.

Do not book with this operator. They tell you the tour starts at 10:30am, but it really starts with a 7:30am pickup, which they let you know about 10 hours before the tour so you can't cancel or change. Their customer service is terrible and rude.

The hotel pick up was on time, but was in a small, personal (not commercial) van that reeked of cigarette smoke. Once all 7 passengers were picked up, it was crowded. Upon arrival at the vineyard, instruction was unclear because the driver did not speak English (though tour was advertised as in English). At the vineyard, we joined the public tour. Not a small group, as advertised. Public tour was approximately 40 people. Tour was good and we got wine tastings as described, but the other details were misleading.

I would give this 0 stars if I could just based on the transportation. I want to say the winery is lovely and absolutely worth the visit. The tour is great once you arrive. But today’s transportation vehicle could barely fit 4 adults comfortably and there were 7 adults and a child somehow piled into this tiny vehicle. Not enough space to even put on seatbelts. The mother and child did not have a seatbelt. One adult was essentially squatting in the middle the entire ride. We were picked up first and spent approximately 80 minutes confined in an entirely unsafe and uncomfortable situation. A traffic collision would have killed or maimed every passenger. Even if seatbelts were available for everyone, there was no way to arrange the bodies to attempt to put them on. Viator should be ashamed to do business with the outfit they contracted this out to. And honestly should cease business with them immediately. They hold liability if someone is hurt riding in a vehicle that is so small for so many people. This was not a van or bus or anything like that. Just a very small vehicle. There are too many great tour operators in Chile to keep doing business with the outfit. We had to arrange our own transfer back to our hotel in Santiago at a substantial additional cost to avoid the dangerous vehicle situation as the rest of the passengers also expressed great concern to ride back all together. Travelers should just book an Uber directly to the winery. It’s lovely and that way you don’t spend half your day driving around Santiago picking up other passengers in an extremely unsafe vehicle.

It would be possible to do this wine tour from Santiago under your own steam - but what would be the point? This travel company would take you for almost the same price as you would pay if you went independently and you would have to also pay for your own transport. We been on a lot of wine tours and this was a pretty good one. WE tasted four wines, all of which were excellent quality, and the guide was very informative.

Excellent experience. It is a very traditional and ancient vineyard but well preserved. The guide showed a lot of knowledge and passion about the subject. They also show you a museum of Mapuche culture. Excellent tasting. With 5 wines. A foamer, a sauvignon blanc, a late harvest, a carmenere and a cabernet sauvignon. Of those 5 I bought 3 because it was an excellent choice and exquisite flavors apart from very good price for such high quality wines. The cup they give you is very nice, they give you a cardboard box to take it. Recommended

Let me start by saying this low rating is in regard to the tour operators NOT the vineyard. Fernanda at the winery was exceptional and I highly recommend the winery. Very beautiful grounds, interesting history and delicious wines. Fernanda was outstanding! The tour driver msg’d us that we would be picked up at 8:45am which seems excessively early for a 10:30am tour. His driving was filled with excessive speed, road rage, honking and saying I felt unsafe was an understatement. We actually arrived at the winery at 10am so the early pick up/speeding was unnecessary for a 10:30 tour. The driver was constantly swerving from lane to lane, cutting off other drivers and going 30-40 over the posted speed. During the trip, my husband felt so unsafe that he arranged a DIFFERENT ride back from the winery. So, we essentially paid double for the tour to ensure we would get back safely. I would recommend this winery tour but through a different provider.

Our experience in the vineyard was very pleasant. Our guide was Germán, he is a gentleman with great charisma and warmth, he managed to make the tour deeply interesting and honestly very fun. It should also be added that within the tour of the vineyard there is a small museum with relics of indigenous people who belong to the owners and that enriched the day. Not to mention the wine tasting that was quite a delight. We really loved it.

Our driver, Robert was wonderful! Although I had booked is for the English tour, I was contacted and told there wasn’t one available at the time. We opted to go anyway and do our best with the Spanish tour. After a few minutes, a winery employee pulled us out of our group and lead us to an English speaking group who were just a few minutes ahead of us. That was amazing and we were so pleased to continue in English- we’d have missed much. The winery is lovely, our guide Fernanda was great and the wines we tasted were delicious. A wonderful afternoon experience!

They did not show up to pick up, did not give satisfaction (do not answer the phone or whatsapp) and then claimed that they went to pick up at 7:30 and that the customers did not show up (since the time indicated on the voucher was 8:45 and the tour began at 9). We stayed more than 2 hours without qq kind of return from this "Enterprise" Then they still had the lack of shame to claim that he was informed by civitatis (as it was purchased by agency and contact properly informed at the time of the purchase). The tour is very interesting and the winery is located in a beautiful park area. And admittedly they are very generous with their tastings! My morning tour was changed to the afternoon, which worked out just fine, and in fact, I would recommend. My only concern is I'm still not sure why, as a single traveler, I was made to book for 2 when others shared the transport to the winery. My only, but very minor, complaint.

There cannot be a better value for money quality winery tour than the Half-Day Small Group Undurraga Vineyard Tour with Winetasting included. We were met at our hotel by our driver - Jorge, who arrived in a Minivan, following which 5 other people were picked up at various other hotels. However my wife and I were the only English speaking passengers, while the other 5 were Brazilian, causing concern that we would not be on an English speaking tour. We arrived at the winery in about 40 minutes. However a number of other minivans arrived with guests for the tour. We were put into the English speaking group (while the Brazilians were put into the Portuguese speaking group). Benjamin, our guide was superb. Very knowledgeable about the history of the winery and their wine making process from vine to bottle, all with a sprinkling of humor that is so often lacking in such tours. I doubt there is a better tour guide whose delivery of the story is first class, along with a very pleasant personality to make this a truly outstanding tour. There is wine tasting for all parties, that included 4 wines, along with a souvenir glass to take home, which is actually the glass you had used for sampling the four wines. There is a great gift shop along with a Chilean history museum.

The tour operator did not show up at the designated location (our hotel). We waited from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon. He did not answer the calls we made to the number published in the brochure. Finally he sent an email saying that the morning tour for us was cancelled due to the lack of an English speaking guide. We could book an afternoon tour the next day however this was not possible We want our money back from Viator!!!!

The tour does not start at 10:30, they pass you at 8 in the morning then really at that time it starts. Nobody tells you anything until it's too late to cancel and you don't get a refund. Nor do they accept you changing hours, zero flexibility and for me almost a scam.

Our driver Marcelo picked us up on time and we had an interesting sightseeing tour of Santiago picking up other guests. On arrival at the vineyard we took an English tour of the stunning grounds and cellars from Javiera, and excellent and knowledgeable guide. We tasted 4 excellent wines (generous samples) and left with gifts of souvenir wineglasses in which to enjoy the wines we purchased.

We found this to be very unreasonable and we said as much but they were not receptive at all to our request. the tour of the vineyard was excellent. Bianca was great. our driver Manual not so wonderful. we didn't like him at all, he was not concentrating on his driving, and we were all over the road several times. unfortunately he did not get a tip from us. he was also a bit impatient and was not very accomodating as we had 2 people with walking canes. would not recommend him as a driver at all. he needs to improve his skills.

We were picked up at our flat, from a nice driver, Roberto, who also drove us back home again. Well at Undurraga winery, we were taken good care of by our interesting and friendly guide. We really learned a lot from her, and she also spoke very well English. Tasting so many different grapes, was something quite new for us. We were really able to taste the difference. After a tour around the winery, we got to taste four good wines. We would really recommend this tour!
