Our guide Dimos was absolutely brilliant. The vehicle was spotless and new and Dimos spoke almost the entire trip telling us about the history of Panama, the Canal and the central City. We were collected at the entrance to the cruise port (5 minute walk) which made the entire process very easy. A great day out and recommended for cruisers.

Cathy was the most amazing tour guide, prepared with lots of information, including maps, pictures, coins, and other interesting items. She showed us great sites around the city, first on Flamenco Island, then the 1914 Panama Canal Administration Building and the Goethals Memorial. Then it was off to Miraflores locks. She would always drop us off at the entrance to each of these places, park the car, and then magically find us. Once with us, she went into personal assistant mode, helping us with getting food, tickets, and seats to the IMAX film about the Panama Canal. She timed our visit there perfectly to match up with seeing ships go through the locks, including a Princess cruise ship! She took us to the best viewpoints to see the ships go through the locks. Then it was off to Casco Viejo, and on the way she stopped to get us some bottled water. We toured the old town and then we requested to end the tour there so we could get dinner. She recommended a fantastic restaurant, Fonda Lo Que Hay, which was the perfect end to the day. We took an Uber back to our hotel with no problem. I totally recommend this tour, and if you get Cathy, you are lucky and in very good hands!

It was a wonderful and easy experience for us! Kati was very knowledgeable and friendly. The pickup and communication was fantastic because we were disembarking from a cruise ship and timing can be difficult but it was very manageable for us. The Miraflores lock was amazing and the IMAX movie was very good and comfortable. Kati was able to show us her beautiful old and new city of Panama. What a great tour. Ronaldo picked me up from the hotel right on time. Got to see the Panama Canal and watch two ships move through the locks. Then continued with a tour of the city. He made multiple stops for pictures as well. Highly recommend this as a way to spend half a day.

2.0 Beware of undisclosed charges

My main complaint is that it was not disclosed in the tour description of “exclusions” that there was an additional $20 charge for the Miraflores Visitor's Center. Javier asked me to pay him cash of $20 extra at the end of the tour. After the tour, when I checked the Miraflores Visitor's Center website: The change was actually $17.22 for the imax and viewing experience. In the end, the actual cost of this tour is more than $100 when including undisclosed charges. A bit steep for a 1/2 day experience.

I don’t know if everyone’s experience will be the same as mine, because everyone doesn’t get Kati as their guide. But she was AMAZING. So very informative, kind, and patient. Not to mention, she takes the best pictures. It was a great day for our group well spent learning about the culture and history of Panama. It was about 4.5 hours. There was lots of walking so wear comfy shoes. I would 1000000% recommend.

We had an awesome time on our tour of Panama. The trip to the Panama Canal was very informative. It was a wonderful surprise to learn that the film of the Panama Canal was narrated by US actor Morgan Freeman. The tour of Panama and old town was awesome. Our tour guide, Kayiuska, took her time discussing history of Panama and pointed out areas in Old Town that assisted us in our visit the following day. Overall the tour was informative and special thanks to Katiuska for being so accommodating and kind. I highly recommend this tour.

Enjoyed a highly personalized tour today with guide, Katiuska. While on tour I was able to visit many parts of Panamá City, Cinta Costera, Avenida Balboa, Armador Causeway, the Miraflores visitors center. The IMAX movie about the Panamá Canal was excellent. Then visiting Casco Viejo. Katiuska provided a wealth of knowledge about Panamá, the history, local cuisine, culture, indigenous people, wildlife (birds, fish, reptiles, mammals). I was so glad I took this tour during my short 1 day stop over in Panamá. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this tour to anyone planning a visit to Panamá.

5.0 Wonderful Tour of Canal Locks and Old Town

Katy was punctual picking me up at my hotel and in fact I was the very first in line for tickets at the Panama Canal’s Meliflores locks. The pacing of our time at the canal was excellent; Katy knew when we should head to the visitors center theater for the IMAX film, when was best for bathroom breaks, etc. During our old town walking tour Katy showed us streets and places that I hadn’t found on my own, including the gorgeous French embassy and the street leading up to it with hats strung overhead. We saw places I later went back to on my own, including I Love Panama Chocolate (high-quality, unique flavors). We ended the tour with delicious, refreshing fresh fruit slushies in Independence Square (pineapple-passion fruit was amazing). Katy was informative and also warm and engaging throughout the tour.

The morning logistics of pickups and getting to the Canal were great. Much appreciated. The Casco Viejo part was mostly skipped. It was raining a little bit, so we didn't get out of the vehicle. This tour was great for the Canal and getting out to the Causeway. But it was lacking for the Casco Viejo part.

The experience was amazing from beginning to end. Out tour guide, Javier was personable, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He took us to the Panama Canal where we learned about the history and watched an IMAX movie about it as well. There were restrooms in the facility to utilize during the tour, as well as a gift shop and more on the history of the Canal. We toured old Panama and we were able to take lots of pictures along the way. We visited the Catholic Church, hat street, and took pictures by the locks. He took us to a vendor who sold shaved ice with fresh fruit and it was amazing, as it was hot this day! There was so much packed into the tour, but it was perfect!!! I definitely learned more about Panama during the tour and would highly suggest anyone visiting to take the tour, as well!

This tour is value for money. Our guide Richard arrived to pick us up promptly. He was friendly and very knowledgable. When we initially went to the canal in the morning, the last ship to traverse the locks was cancelled. Richard explained that we’d just make the canal the last stop rather than the first. We visited old town, got souvenirs, had several photo ops and a lunch stop. When we returned to the canal we watched a few vessels and an IMAX presentation on the canal. Richard got the tickets ahead of time so there was no waiting on arrival at Miraflores. Altogether an enjoyable and informative experience!

This tour was PERFECT!! Not only a wonderful experience at all of the locations listed on thr itinerary, but also wonderful conversations with the guide, Dimos, about the history of Panama. It felt like as immersive an experience as was possible in the four short hours of the tour. I have an eleven year old who is very interested in the canal and Dimos was so great about patiently teaching him and sharing interesting facts with him. Pick up was timely and professional.
