Our guide was very knowledgable and passionate on explaining the history of the city, it's culture and people. We went to the city park, downtown, cable car, Neruda museum and finally at El Galeon, the seafood restaurant before flying back home. The guide planned the trip meticulously so we could spend sufficient time at each locations.

We used HecTour for a day trip in Santiago, Chile and a day trip to the wine region of Casablanca to the west of Santiago. I would highly recommend this company. The driver/guide was very punctual, professional and a very good driver. He guided us around the various historical areas of Santiago explaining in very good english, the history and significance of the different sites. He tailored the sites and itinerary according to what we wanted to see, we appreciated the flexibility . He selected 3 vineyards each quite different specializing in slightly different products. I would not hesitate using their services again in the future.

What was to be a half-day tour turned into a full day tour on our way back to the airport. HecTour was very flexible and in tune with what type of things we would like to see. The tour was custom made for us. Our luggage was safe in the Mercedes van. Our guide's English was perfect. We learned about Santiago's history from current day to the past. Stopping at many points of interest. We enjoyed walking around Cerro Santa Lucia as well as many other places. Not only did we learn some history, but we learned about and experienced some of the culture as well. Communication prior to the trip was excellent and timely. Communication during our stay was excellent as well. Highly recommend!

When I arrive in a new city I always begin with a city tour so I can get an overview before diving deeper into the neighborhoods that interest me. For my two-week stay in Santiago, I found HecTourService run by Hector Medina while browsing online. His outstanding reviews convinced me to book right away. Hector provided excellent communication from the start. He confirmed every detail with me via WhatsApp and then adjusted our tour schedule when my fiancée arrived a day later and needed extra rest. He rescheduled our tour without hesitation and tailored the itinerary to our interests, which we truly appreciated. On the day of the tour Hector arrived on time in a comfortable Mercedes Benz van. His English is excellent. He also speaks Spanish natively, along with Portuguese and even some Japanese. We experienced this firsthand on the cable car descending San Cristóbal Hill, when he conversed with a Brazilian family sharing our car, in fluent Portuguese. Throughout the day Hector guided us to the best photo spots, suggested a charming café for a coffee break and pointed out where to find an ATM so I could get local currency. At the end of the tour, we tipped him generously because he lived up to every bit of his stellar reputation. A day or so later, Hector emailed us a list of his other tours and prices. Since my fiancée had never experienced snow before, we decided to book the Andes excursion to the Farellones Mountain Centre. It is about a two-hour drive east of Santiago through steep and foggy mountain roads. Thanks to Hector’s commercial driver’s license and expert skills, our trip was smooth and safe despite the dozens of sharp hairpin turns. Once we arrived at the resort Hector took care of our entry fees which were included in the tour price. I hadn’t dressed appropriately for the elements and spent most of my time trying to stay warm. My fiancée layered up and had a blast around the park. The resort offers skiing, snowboarding, tubing and zip-lining. Hector captured so many great photos of my fiancée at the resort that she declared him a better photographer than me! On the drive back to the city, Hector kindly offered to stop at a local restaurant or wine bar, but we were too tired and asked to return to the hotel instead. The entire mountain excursion lasted about seven hours, which was perfect for our pace but could easily be extended for the die-hard snow enthusiasts. By the end of our time with Hector we felt like friends. After our final tour with him, he dropped us off and took a photo with us so we could always remember his great service. We saved Hector’s contact information for our next trip to Santiago, where we plan to hire him to visit Vino del Mar and Valparaiso. Hector also has real estate expertise, so other future travelers can consult with him about properties for sale or long-term stays in Santiago. Thanks again to Hector and HecTourService for making our vacation truly unforgettable. I highly recommend his tours to anyone visiting Santiago. You will not be disappointed!

This was a very interesting and informative day. Francisca is a historian and was able to share in a way that enabled us to more deeply understand Chile's struggles and triumphs. She is also warm and funny and willing to share personal stories. We were fortunate enough to spend the following day with her on a tour of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar. That tour had a different focus including so much spectacular art and was also really good. Paola was our driver both days and made us feel safe at all times. We highly recommend both of these experiences with Hectours and the Francisca / Paola team.

Also visited several nice and colorful neighborhoods: Los Condes, Providencia, Lastraria , Bella Vista. It was Easter Weekend, so many businesses were closed, out of tour company control. If you want to more fully experience Santiago, may want to book the tour during a weekday. Hector, our guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable, friendly and funny, which made the tour very enjoyable. He was very flexible. Mauricio, our driver, was also extremely nice. Highly recommended tour.

The driver and guide arrived right on time and we did a thorough tour of downtown Santiago starting with the Castillo Hidalgo and Cerro Santa Lucia. On to the section of Santiago with the government buildings, Presidential Palace and others along with the Cripta Bernado O'Higgins. All with a recounting of Chilean history. Several churches, Iglesia San Francisco and the Metropolitan Cathedral. We spent some time in Barrio Bellavista and saw Pablo Neruda's house/museum, but didn't go in because of limited time. Toward the end of the tour we went up to a neighborhood on the northern edge of the city with very exclusive homes, including a copy of Elvis Presly's home, Graceland, for a wonderful view of the city. It was an information-packed day and I certainly received more information about Santiago, and Chile, than I thought possible in one day. The only problem was that with my compromised hearing I didn't catch the name of my tour guide. Could you possible send my her name? Her English was first-rate and her knowledge of the city and Chile, their history and present, was literally amazing. Even very extraneous questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. I am so glad that I scheduled an extra day in Santiago and that I found you with an Internet search. I would most highly recommend your service to others.
