The guide truly makes the experience for Chichen Itza, they truly help sculpt the story and enrich the history. Listening in to a couple other of the guides we passed, Carlos really was a stand out among others. On top of the fact that he helps you get the ticket, walks you around the grounds and sticks to the shady areas :) He speaks clear English and Mayan - even shared some of the Mayan pronunciation for Chichen Itza. I wouldn't ever tour without a great guide.

Carlos was very helpful in planning our last minute logistics. Very communicative. He was very engaging with how he shared about Chichen Itza in a way that was engaging for our three teens, my husband and I, and my mother-in-law. We especially enjoyed how he brought in personal stories about his family and his Mayan/ Spanish heritage.Seeing pictures on the iPad was a bonus. His English is perfect and we learned so much.

Carlos is a lively, attentive and very customer-oriented guide, who not only provides a lot of information, but also impresses with his outstanding photograghic skills. (He suggested spots where to take pictures, has a good eye for motives and is very skilled with the phone camera.) This was a well worth it trip. Carlos was well informed, provided a ton of information and kept us comfortable.
