Jaz (for short) was an AMAZING guide....so patient with everyone, so educated in both English and Spanish and did so well managing people from all over the world. Carlos our driver was patient, a great driver, kept the bus cool, and helped us spot our sloth friend! They are a great team and we really enjoyed them both. The tour itself was honestly more than I could have imagined....boat was in great condition, great experienced captain, all very educated in the monkeys, bats, lizards, crocs, and other animals we saw! weather just happened to be wonderful, bus was clean, air conditioned, and pick ups were easy.....we even had to change out day last minute due to immigration appointments so it was very accommodating. Highly recommend!

When I was picked up in the lobby, I was dressed for a hike, the other group waiting was dressed for a boat ride. I would say, wear gym shoes and prepare for a short walk in heat. It was so fun. I wish I had chosen the earlier time to hopefully see more animals

Great experience; wear a windbreaker for the boat ride. It’s very fast and if raining, the rain hits hard as there’s no windshield on the boat. Tour guide very nice and the monkeys love fruit!

Tour was fun. Our tour guide Yaz was entertaining and did keep in contact prior to pick up to inform us of his arrival. Boat ride was cool. We saw a couple of monkeys. We were taken to a small cantina for some local snacks - although no water was provided. We then were taken to a trail to see if we could spot some sloths - we did see one high up and also a couple more monkeys. The guide did have a high powered binocular that you could look through to see the monkeys and sloth. Very cool All in all we had a fun day out.

There were two major problems with this trip. One was feeding the monkeys to lure them to the boat, which is not a natural experience and which does not help the monkey population whatsoever. The second was the way the guide handled the guests. Admittedly it wasn't his fault there seemed to be a frat party on board, but by high fiving them and so on it just encouraged them and so 90% of his information was drowned out by this group talking, shouting and drinking.

We have a 3 and 6 year old and this was the perfect adventure we were looking for. Manolo was our guide and as all the reviews say, he really is great! He and the transportation team made sure our family had a great time and advised us well throughout our journey. We we were absolutely impressed with the Panama Canal as well as the wildlife we got to see! Bring hand sanitizer if you have little ones as well as long pants and sleeves, bug spray and sunscreen and hats.

A must do if you’re anywhere near Panama City. Our tour guide, Manolo was excellent-funny and full of information about Panama, the Canal, and the animals/jungle. We saw many animals thanks to Manolo’s eagle eyes. We will absolutely do this again. I’d give it 100 stars if I could.

We just returned from the most magical wildlife tour in Panama and it completely exceeded all our expectations! The highlight was the amazing fast boat ride on the Panama Canal, where we zipped along the water spotting incredible wildlife up close. Combined with the land portions, we saw tons of monkeys and sloths — howler monkeys swinging through the trees, playful capuchins, adorable tamarins, and multiple sloths (including a mama with her baby!) lounging in the canopy. The guides knew exactly where to look, and the photo opportunities were nonstop. Jazz the guide was an absolute superstar! Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and incredibly patient, Jazz made the whole day fun and educational. He shared fascinating facts about the animals’ behaviors and habitats (especially during the boat ride), spotted wildlife we would have completely missed, and kept the group engaged with his great sense of humor. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does. A huge shoutout also to David the bus driver — he navigated the roads like a pro, kept us safe and comfortable, and even had the AC and music perfectly dialed in. The seamless mix of bus and fast boat transportation made the whole adventure stress-free and exhilarating. If you’re in Panama and want to get up close with monkeys and sloths in their natural environment — plus the thrill of a high-speed boat on the famous Panama Canal — book this tour immediately. Professional, well-organized, and bursting with wildlife sightings — we couldn’t recommend it more highly. The boat trip on the lake that forms part of the Panama Canal was excellent. We had 3 types of monkey visit the boat and take banana pieces from our hands. Plenty of opportunities for photographs with these lovely animals. We saw a sloth , albeit high up , but the guide had a spotting telescope and we all had the opportunity to view it. The ‘ Jungle’ tour was less exciting but I suppose there is no guarantee of what you might see. Overall it was a good day out and the guide was friendly and very knowledgeable

If you are looking for an authentic, respectful, and absolutely thrilling nature experience in Panama, look no further than this 4-hour tour. From the very start, the coordination was seamless. We were picked up right on time from our hotel and we were on our way with our incredible guide, Manolo. Manolo is a gem—he is incredibly knowledgeable and truly passionate about eco-tourism and protecting the local wildlife. The highlights of the trip were non-stop: Incredible Wildlife Spotting: Before we even hit the water, our sharp-eyed driver spotted a sloth high in the trees. Manolo quickly set up his telescopic camera so everyone could get a perfect view and even snap a photo through the lens! The Monkeys: Monkey Island did not disappoint! We saw three different varieties of monkeys, and it was pure magic when a couple of them actually hopped on board the boat for a quick grapes snack. Rainforest Trekking: We finished with a 1 km trek through the lush rainforest. While we only heard the loud calls of howler monkeys, Manolo kept things exciting by using his camera to point out rare wildflowers, unique tree life, and hidden tarantula and boa nests (thankfully, empty!). It was a perfectly paced, 4-hour excursion that balanced adventure with a deep respect for nature. Huge thanks to Manolo and the team for an unforgettable experience!

We had an incredible experience with our guide, Manolo. The other people on the tour with me were my boyfriend, dad, brother and brother's partner. We all had a great time. We got to see huge freight carriers in the canal and the real highlight for me was getting to have three different types of monkeys come on board the boat when we pulled up to islands in the canal. Manolo knew how to call them and get them on board with fruit which the monkeys ate from our hands. It was a really fun experience to have them walk over us and curiously explore the boat. We felt safe and prepared as Manolo had briefed us on how to best interact with each different type of monkey. We saw other boats in the canal but I think our experience was top notch as I did not see the monkeys interact with other people on other boats like they did with us and the people on those boats did not really seem to know best practices like we did. We also got to see 3 sloths on our walk in the jungle. Manolo was really knowledgeable about the wildlife and made it a very fun trip. Would highly recommend this tour!

This was a fun tour to see Gatun Lake, the rainforest and lots of wildlife. We saw different kinds of monkeys up close as well as birds, crocodiles, and a sloth way up in a tree. The guide showed us through a scope and even took a video on my phone. Good experience.

The experience was amazing. Great driver (Adan) and Guide Jess (Yess). I would advise anyone taking this tour to be mindful of pick up time. Although, the event is a 0700 start pick up is generally 1 hour before 0600. Its an easy half day as opposed to San Blas Islands from Panama City, which was a blast too, but a very long day :) Enjoy!!

Jazz and the crew was amazing. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. I loved the treats that was included and being in an authentic Panamanian neighborhood. The cost was really low compared to other similar tours. It says at time of booking you pay $20 for boat separate than the $60. Saw a sloth and monkeys and toucan. Would’ve loved to see more wildlife but you can’t control that. Overall the experience was good.

2.0 Unsustainable practices.

tldr: unsustainable fruit feeding and invading wildlife spaces It is marketed as a sustainable tour effort. However, this specific provider FEEDS the wildlife with some fruits in order to bring them closer and onto the boat just for tour group to take photos up close. A separate operator nearby did look on with disapproval, which is understandable as such practices disrupt the ecosystem by introducing foreign objects. These practices would also weaken the abilities of the monkeys to fend for themselves in the long run. Similarly, the boat got up very close to the mangroves to get near the monkeys. This not only invaded their space but also pushed against the younger mangrove growth, limiting the expansion of the mangrove. It seems this is quite common as a lot of younger mangrove are bent inwards, indicating constant pressure. On our way back, our guide also stopped the bus so that the group could crowd around a distressed sloth which had allegedly fell off a tree. I personally felt very bad for the wild animal that should be protected but was surrounded by a group of 20 pax instead! Some tourists did look concern to. Separately, I would acknowledge the guide is a cheerful guy who tries to interact with the group as much as possible.

This tour was amazing. The professional tour guide, Yaz, has a wealth of knowledge and entertained us on the bus tour, well as on the boat trip and a short hike up a forest trail. On the boat we saw: saw capuchin monkeys, tamarind monkeys, a yellow-eared slider turtle, fruit bats, a snail kite and a two-toed sloth. That last one is super rare. On the hike we saw two three-toed sloths; leaf cutter ants, while listening to howler monkeys and toucans.
