The food was absolutely unbelievable, every stop was delicious and thoughtfully chosen. Robin was truly exceptional. She was so kind, answered every question we had, and had an amazing depth of knowledge about the area and its history. The way she tells stories is completely captivating, whenever she spoke, everyone listened. She brought Greenwich Village to life in such an engaging and memorable way. I went on the Greenwich Village food tour with Cale as my guide right before Christmas this year and had an excellent experience. Cale was extremely knowledgeable on all things NYC, was entertaining and friendly, and provided excellent company for the entirety of the tour! Cale was also quick on his feet as one of the restaurant's ovens went out - he quickly offered a solution that we were all very satisfied with! The food was delicious and my personal favorite was the slice at Bleecker Street Pizza. The variety of food was excellent as well - Indian, Pizza, French Pastries, and cannolis. This tour I would highly recommend for solo travelers, families, or groups!

We did the double tour of the High Line walk followed by the Greenwich Village Food tour. Dave reached out the day prior to make sure we were all set and instructions on where to meet him. We had Dave all to ourselves! From the moment we met until we parted ways, he was so professional and knowledgeable. Let’s start with the walk. What a lovely surprise in the middle of New York. The history is so interesting and the walk is jut lovely. The various architecture and the history behind them is fun. Even with it being so hot, the grounds weee green and beautifully maintained. The walk took us right into Chelsea Market. This was the beginning of the food tour and oh my goodness, what a treat! Let’s say if you have never had a pasties de nata, well, you are in for a treat! I will not give away everywhere we went as you need to take the tour, meet Dave, and get ready for some incredible food experiences! This is a special treat! Put your walking shoes on and get ready for a fabulous day! I hope you get Dave as your guide as we thought he was awesome, thoughtful and so kind!

Hi All I arrived in NY on 11/25 to kick off my first solo trip. I need to give a shout out to Manhattan Walking Tours. I did the triple combo tour of the High Line, Grenich Village and Financial District tour yesterday and today Hells Kitchen, Central Park and Times Square. The guide Claire was so knowledgeable and fun. It was amazing. I’ve learned so much of the history and fun facts that have really provided so much satisfaction to the trip as I was concerned the trip was going to be overwhelming I’m definitely not affiliated with this tour group just hoping this recommendation may help another solo or group travelers 😊

Our guide (Alex) was excellent- very informative about the history of the area and also very friendly. We went to five stops for bites and we liked all except the English Pasty. Like an empanada with super bland potato filling. It was a VERY hot day and a couple of the places had no place to sit. We had to eat the food standing on the hot sidewalk.

The tour was amazing for a multitude of reasons, but what made the tour so special was our tour guide Dave Turk. Not only was he very knowledgeable about the historic areas that we visited, but he was also hilarious, friendly and very personable. There was never a dull moment. I had the best pastries, pizza, and tacos. I went on this trip with my young daughter . We had a great experience. I would highly Recommend this tour.

This was the 3rd tour we have done with this company. Every time our guides have been very knowledgeable and the food has been incredible. On our most recent trip, our guide was Nicky. Nicky is a former 5th grade teacher and was wonderful with our 10 year old! We did the High Line Walking Tour followed by the Greenwich Village Food tour. He kept the tour interesting and engaging for the entire time! Additionally, I have reached out to Alex (who was our guide on our very first tour about 8 years ago) many times over the years for restaurant recommendations when we visit the city. He is always helpful! We highly recommend this tour!

Nicky provided not only delicious food stops, but the history to go along with the neighborhoods. Stops included exterior filming spots for popular shows and several “celebrities” former apartments. There was a little something to keep everyone interested, including my 10 year-old grandson. A fun way to eat and learn at the same time!

I have been traveling to NYC for over 40 years and I believe that I have done most everything visitors love to do in the city. This May I went with two of my daughters to go to a couple of shows on Broadway. One of my daughters recommended a walking/food tour of the lower West side. To my surprise it was fantastic. David Turk was our guide and he was interesting, informative and fun. We learned history and trivia about Manhattan and stopped and sampled food at 5 uniquely Manhattan eateries. As we walked through neighborhoods, we saw multiple points of interest while learning both historical and contemporary items about the city. The entire experience was one of my favorite things I have done in NYC. Thank you, David Turk, for a most enjoyable time with my daughters and two other visitors from England that were on the walk with us.

We spent 4 stupendous hours with Nicky. First two were a High Line tour with myself and two buddies. Nicky was full of historical information: Pritzker winning architectural gems, NYC historical perspectives, present day management of the High Line, and some arcane stories that only a dedicated tour guide would know. We then joined a lovely couple and their grand child for the Greenwich Village Food tour. No disappointments! We were amazed at the history of the Village (e.g. why are there different size staircases on the town houses??) and were full with NYC pizza, British pasties, French pastries, and a cupcake finale!! Nicky is friendly, full of information, and welcomes questions!!! Highly recommended. You will NOT be disappointed.

An absolute must tour if you are visiting New York. Our host, Nicky, was so knowledgeable and relaxed on the tour and we learned much about the areas we visited while sampling delicious food (a highlight was visiting with the owner, Greg, of Bleeker Street Pizza who took the time to sit with us and tell us about the history and background of the restaurant. We highly recommend this tour!

Our tour with Manhattan Food Tours was outstanding! The food was superb and there was a good variety between the dishes we tried. Our guide, Jake, was extremely kind, and very knowledgeable not only about the businesses we visited, but also about the history of Greenwich Village as well. You can tell how much passion he has for the city, and he was more than happy to show us cool nooks of The Village we probably wouldn’t have thought to look for. He was even kind enough to be our photographer for a few photos, and continually checked in with us throughout the tour to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. A very intimate, very delicious tour! We will definitely be booking with this company when we come back to New York.

This was the perfect cap to me and my husband’s NYC trip. Jake with Manhattan Walking Tour was the perfect host, yes host, not a tour guide, NYC host. He is knowledgeable about the different historical sites and building along the Highline route. He also pointed out interesting things that we would’ve otherwise missed (smallest privately owned property, yes, that one!). One of my favorite stops in the Greenwich food tour is Mollys cupcakes. Crème brûlée and s’mores for the win! The best part of the tour is honestly Jake’s company and conversations through it all. He didn’t rush our experience and made it feel like a friend is showing us his favorite parts of the city. Highly recommend!
