Yesterday we went on a guided tour to Chichén Itzá, Il Kil Cenote, and Cobá, and we had an amazing experience. Our tour guide, Jesús, was incredibly kind and very knowledgeable. My husband asked a lot of questions throughout the day, and Jesús always had detailed and interesting answers. He really made the tour special by showing us everything we wanted to see and giving us lots of personal attention. There were around 8 people on the tour in total, but we were split into an English-speaking group and a Spanish-speaking group. Our English-speaking group only had 4 people, which made the experience feel very personal. The tour was also very well organized. There was plenty of water available on the bus throughout the day to keep us hydrated, and we received a nice snack bag in the morning. Jesus even helped us take pictures during the tour, which we really appreciated. One of the highlights was being able to climb the Nohoch Mul pyramid in Cobá. At around 42 meters high, it is a quite steep climb, but reaching the top and overlooking the entire jungle & archaeological site was absolutely amazing and completely worth it. We also want to mention the tour guide for the Spanish-speaking group, Tonantzin, who was very kind as well. Along the way she explained a lot about the area, regularly checked in with us, and always made sure everyone was doing well. And our driver was amazing aswell getting us everywhere before any of the big groups were there. So it was not crazy busy at the sites. We highly recommend this tour and especially our guide, Jesús. Thank you for a wonderful day!

My wife and I made the excursion to Chichen Itza-Cenote Ik Kill- Ruins of Coba in early May 2026. The service was excellent, starting with the booking process, pre-tour information, and directions to start the tour. We were picked up promptly in the Lobby of our Hotel and taken in a Van to the places of the tour, offering snacks and water at all times. The explanations of Pache, Antonio and Jesus were very complete: adapted to the times we live but making us feel the Mayan culture very intensely. The visit to Chichen Itza was very quiet because we arrived first thing, just after opening (08:00am) and there were few tourists, so we could go directly in and enjoy it without queues or burdens; then we went to the cenote without Kill, where we could bathe very quietly to end up having lunch at a buffet with very rich Mexican food. Finally, back to Tulum we finished the excursion in the ruins of Coba, where we could see all the areas of interest riding a tricycle and climb the pyramid walking to visualize the horizon of the jungle. In short, it has been a wonderful excursion that we would repeat without a doubt. Greetings and thanks to the organizers, Pache, Antonio and Jesus for their great work.

We did the tour in a small group of 5 people. This allowed us to be more agile when moving from place to place and early to avoid crowding. Our guide Antonio, who also made us a photographer, showed us extensive knowledge, very well explained and with illustrations of what we could not see. The tour is pretty good. The only thing to criticize is that being 3 different destinations in the same day is too hectic and becomes very long and exhausting, perhaps the best thing would be to do one less but otherwise everything excellent. Our guide Gabrielo was excellent, his human quality and his knowledge (he also made us the best photo shoot of our trip), also Tonantzin although she was with the English-speaking group. Booking and transport were easy, she was an extremely knowledgeable guide, and the logistics worked out really well, with enough time to see Chichen Itza, a refreshing (needed) stope at the denote, and a unique stop at Coba.

Excellent experience. We went with a small group which simplified the whole tour. The person in charge of guiding us (Tonantzin) was very friendly, didactic and close. Although the time was relatively limited, he even got us to climb the great pyramid in Coba. We were guided by less crowded parts in the Chichen-Itzá set, and all the historical-cultural explanations were very entertaining and enriching. It is highly recommended. Chichen Itza was worth seeing. Our guides were accommodating, especially taking photos, but I found the information a little difficult to follow. The Il Kil Cenote was wonderful and lunch there was quite good. You had to either rent a bike or a pedal taxi to see the Coba structures, but they did take US dollars. I didn’t give it five stars because it took 14 hours from pick up until I got back to my hotel in Playa Del Carmen. They dropped all the people off first in their various hotels in Cancun, which took well over an hour.

Antonio was an amazing tour guide, very friendly, and knowledgeable. It’s a lot to fit into one day, and the schedule is fairly tight but Antonio kept everything on track and we were able to have ample time at each location and even made it in time to climb up Cobá! On top of the trip advisor fee we had to pay 45USD for the entrance to Chichen Itza otherwise everything else was included. We had a banana, juice box and cookies for breakfast, buffet for lunch and cold waters for the duration of the excursion. Overall it was a great day which I would recommend this tour with Antonio to anyone interested.

We had a blast on this day tour! Very grateful for the reduced crowds that the early start afforded us throughout the day. Jesus was an incredible tour guide, providing nuanced, thoughtful historical background to the sites and offering a nice balance between guided sightseeing and free time to explore on our own. Swimming in the cenote was my partner’s favorite part (beautiful and refreshing!), while mine was speeding through the jungle on bikes to get to the Coba pyramid in time to climb up! The experience was great. Bit of a packed agenda but have seen 3 amazing sites in one day. It was amazing. Antonio was a great guide, was hugely knowledgable and clearly cared for mayan history. He made it quite engaging and interesting all day. The cenote was beautiful and fitting Coba in with a little bike ride was almost nicer than Chichen Itza. The only thing I found annoying is that you ha e to pay 45 dollars for the Chichen Itza tickets. Ok, it’s great they have these for you and you don’t have to queue up, but it’s a pretty nasty rip off. The actual ticket is something like 620 MXN, which is closer to 35 USD. To make it worse, if you are not American and try to pay in Pesos, they convert it at 20 pesos per USD. So we ended up paying 1800 MXN for two tickets instead of its 1250 MXN or thereabouts face value. When I asked why on Whatsapp before the excursio , I was just told - in a fairly rude manner - that if I don’t like it I can just cancel. Just give me the total price upfront, don’t try to mess around with exchange rates, charge more when I get on the tour bus. If i was charged the whole amount in one beforehand I probably wouldn’t have noticed and would have been super happy. Would have definitely given 5 stars for the experience but the pricing and the rip off just made it a mixed experience.

We had a really good time with this experience but there were a few things I wanted to point out to help others. We had just spent almost two weeks in Mexico and were paying for everything in pesos and yes, we were pre-warned that the cost to enter Chichen Itza would be $90 USD for the two of us and it had to be cash...if we are in Mexico and paying in pesos and can only get pesos from the ATMs, why wouldn't we be given the full amount needed in MXN pesos? Not a huge deal but that's how our morning started. We also weren't given any breakfast as promised in the description. Our guide, Gabriel, was the highlight of the excursion. His energy and attitude and knowledge of the areas was fantastic and we really loved him. Whatever he's making as a guide, triple it because he did it all from taking pictures of us to explaining everything in english. We loved him. The only other thing I wanted to mention was that we ran out of time for the Coba ruins and had to race to get to the Piramide Nohoch Mul and we were so late getting there that they almost didn't let us climb it. And then we were being kicked out soon after which wasn't ideal. Again, not a huge deal but we did want to read more of the signage and take more pics and really get to see the ruins. Also, at the Ik Kil cenote, we were attacked by bees. This is not a slight on the tour company or the excursion, this is just a warning for folks. They were brutal and relentless and it didn't matter if we tried to drown them in the shower area...that was rough. All in all, we had a great day. We saw beautiful sites and had a great lunch and were with good people. Thank you!!

This was an amazing trip! Our tour guide, Lalo, is extremely knowledgeable and the way he spoke English and Spanish consecutively to include everyone was incredible. Our driver, Sexy Jerry, did a wonderful job of getting us there and back safely. After our adventure when we returned to the van, Sexy Jerry had cold, wet cloths to cool us off as well as sandwiches, chips and beverages. It was an excellent experience. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to people staying in the Riviera Maya area who want to visit Chichen Itza. Though some might balk at the early start (we were picked up at 05:40!), you will arrive at Chichen Itza at the opening time of 08:30 and be able to wander around the site before it becomes very crowded. We were given a tour there lasting over an hour by our guide Jesús - whose knowledge and enthusiasm for Mayan and Mexican history was superb - then another hour to explore on our own. When we left at around 11am, the sheer volume of tourists streaming in through the entrance gates reaffirmed we'd made the right decision to start early. The Ik Kil cenote was great fun and a must for us having never tried this activity before. The organisation was very efficient for accessing the changing rooms for those wanting to try the cenote swim. The total time there was 90 mins for the swim and lunch, which was just about enough time, though you would need to keep an eye on the clock if you wanted to linger. Decent buffet options and one free alcoholic drink per person were included in the tour price. Again, the early tour start worked in our favour; we had a nice, calm and peaceful swim in a relatively empty cenote. When we left after lunch, many more visitors had arrived and the shouts and screams from the cenote made it sound more like a crowded swimming pool! Coba was the last stop of the day - though we considered this an 'extra' on the tour compared to the first two 'must do' stops, we thoroughly enjoyed the visit here as well. The pyramid climb was worth doing for the view from the top. The wooden steps to the top are a little steep, but the hand-ropes make the climb easier on weary legs. You don't have to be super fit to make the climb, if you're used to outdoor walking and taking stairs, you should be fine. If you particularly want to do the climb, the last ascent is at around 15:30; it's about a 30 min walk from the entrance and there will already be a queue when you get there. So, if you arrive close to 3pm, consider paying $5 each for a bike to get to the pyramid quicker. Some of our party opted to walk and although they did make the climb, they were in the very last group allowed up. There are plenty of other sites of interest at Coba as well as the main pyramid and again, Jesús was excellent at explaining the history behind what you will see there. Throughout the day, plentiful cold water was provided on the minibus. Some snacks were provided for the early morning, but once all the guests had been picked up, we stopped at a rest stop in the Tulum area for toilets and where you could also buy coffee and snacks before the long drive to Chichen Itza. Our driver, Juan, was excellent and kept the tour on schedule by driving at a good speed, frequently but safely passing much slower-moving traffic that would otherwise have extended the drive time considerably. At the end of tour, we were pretty tired - and the rather cool conditions we experienced probably made the day more bearable than if the temperature had been nearer the norm. For sure, it is a full-on day out (we were dropped off around 19:00), but nonetheless very rewarding and we were glad to have done it.

A packed day. Our driver Juan collected us at 05.20, Jesús, our guide joined us when we'd picked up another couple of people. Plenty of water and snacks available on the journey. Jesús was very knowledgeable about the area and explained a lot of history about the peoples of the different areas of Mexico both for the Yucutan and other places. We found the whole day very interesting and we learned a lot about the history both factual and myth based. Chitchen Iza was amazing. We had a great time at Ik Kil cenote, and the lunch was really good too. Cobá was just what we needed for a walk after the driving, although you can get a lift or hire a bike to the pyramid but, we needed a walk after lunch. The pyramid climb was steep but safe with stairs and guide ropes. Both Juan and Jesús were polite and helpful throughout the whole day. We learned loads and got back mid evening, tired and a lot more informed about this part of Mexico, with its history and beliefs. A really great day out.

We really enjoyed our trip to Chichen Itza, Ik Kil cenote and Cobá. A very full day but with lots of information which we wouldn’t have otherwise found out. Our guide Antonio was excellent as was our driver David. We liked the fact it was a small group of 6 so no hanging around for others. We did get rain so if it’s forecast when you go either take an umbrella or buy a poncho- but don’t accept the first price. We did also walk up to the top of Coba. Quite a challenge if you are u fit but worth it. A good all round trip which gives you a great sense of the mayans.

Fantastic tour. Amazing guide Tonancy. Wonderful to arrive early and beat the crowds. Very clear and detailed interpretation of the ruins at Chichen Itza and Coban. The Til cenote was great, th buffet lunch was very good. Highly recommended, excellent value with small group. Bicycles at Coban are set up for smaller people. Tall people like me at 6 ft will have trouble on the bikes.

Highly recommend this tour!!! There are so many choices when it comes to seeing the Mayan Temples from Playa Del Carmen, but this small van tour with Jesus was a great find for a female solo day traveler. Jesus was wonderful! He was friendly, knowledgable and his English was great! This was an all day, 12+ hours and Jesus was right on time for pick up. The van was clean, comfortable, working safety belts and he kept our arrival times right on time. We arrived and toured the temples and Cenote before the crowds arrived or later in the afternoon when the crowds had left. It was such an enjoyable day and as a bucket list adventure, I am so glad I picked this one!

This tour was fabulous. The early pickup was worth it to avoid the crowds at all three sites. Our guides Tonantzin and Antonio were delightful hosts; they were very knowledgeable and passionate about the Mayan history and culture. They planned the tour timing extremely well so that we missed the crowds at Chichen Itza; and we able to enjoy not only a lovely swim at Cenote Il Kil but also were able to climb the stairs (a must do) to the temple at Coba. Great trip. It was hard to find a trip from Puerto Morelos that coveres both Chitzen Itza and Coba but this one was terrific. We’ve been to all the places as first guests, without any waiting. Our guide takes great photos! Group consisted of 10 people, 2 guides (English and Spanish). Our 7 year old son is happy, no one was exhausted. Highly recommended!
