1.0 The worst experience of our trip to Chile

Unfortunately, my experience with this City Tour was extremely frustrating and made me miss an entire day of my trip to Chile. I want to make it clear that the service at the time of the sale was polite. The problem was not the vendor's cordiality, but rather the lack of guidance on how the service actually works. We bought the ride for five people and at no time were informed that there was an app that showed the locations of the stops and the bus. Nor did we get a map or clear instructions on how to find the landing points. We chose to start the tour using the funicular to climb up to the region of the Statue of the Virgin and then we descended by cable car. When we get down there, we ask where we should wait for the bus and follow exactly the directions we get. We waited and the bus never passed. After that, other people gave us different information, causing us to go looking for the right point. As tourists in a country we didn’t know, we spent hours trying to figure out where to board. We lost precious time on our journey simply because there was no clear guidance on how the service would operate. Only on my own initiative I was able to find the company's WhatsApp and ask for help. Even so, the guidance received was wrong. We sent our location and were directed to cross the street. When I crossed, I was in doubt and sent a photo asking if the right spot wasn’t exactly where I was before. The answer was yes. That is, even through the official service channel we received information that further increased the confusion and delay. In the end, by our merit and asking for other people on the street, we managed to locate the right point. However, we had already wasted hours of our only day available for this tour. In practice, we ended up doing only the funicular and the cable car, not being able to take advantage of the City Tour as planned. I contacted the company explaining the whole situation and requested the refund. The answer was that they analyzed cameras and concluded that there was attention at the time of the sale. I never questioned whether we were taken care of. What I questioned was that we did not receive the information necessary to use the service correctly. These are completely different things. They also stated that there was still time to use the tour, ignoring that we spent much of the day trying to find the right place for lack of guidance and contradictory information, including the company’s own WhatsApp. Alternatively, they offered to extend the tickets for one year. However, we are Brazilian tourists, we were returning to Brazil and we have no forecast to return to Chile during this period. In practice, this solution does not resolve the damage suffered. What disappointed me most was not just the loss of money, but the lack of empathy and responsibility for what happened. At no time did I feel that the company really understood the disorder caused or sought a fair solution. I leave this report so that other tourists know that it is essential to ask for all possible guidance before starting the tour, request a map and confirm exactly where the boarding points are located. Unfortunately, this experience turned a day of leisure into hours of stress and frustration.

I went for the 2-day pass, and it was the best decision. The buses were super comfortable, and since the driver and host spoke great English, everything was a breeze. Pro tip: Download the app! Being able to see exactly where the bus is at all times is a total game-changer. Having 48 hours meant I could actually enjoy a relaxed lunch and explore every stop without that "rushing for the last bus" panic. 10/10 would recommend!
