1.0 Small flight delay led to cancellations

I booked r/t airport transfers with this company. Once I advised them that there was a 30 minute flight delay they advised they couldn't pick me up anymore and asked that I cancel on my end. After going back and forth with them, I found out they had me scheduled for the wrong time and that they were initially asking that I cancel in order for them to avoid and cancellation penalties. They ended up cancelling both the initial delayed pick up and the subsequent scheduled drop off. This company seems to be pretty good, but just wanted to notify any potential future bookers that once there are some modifications they might not hold up their end of the deal.

The transfer is very straightforward. The driver is professional and gets you to your destination safely. Be warned that they could cancel your pickup if you aren’t out in an hour. If anyone has been at Santiago airport knows, the slow processing of international passengers can be worrying. Last time there were 4 officers processing upwards or 300 passengers. It’s it just them, but other transfer services have this policy. It’s a ridiculous policy to put that on people who are at the mercy of slow immigration processes.

Because the line at passport control was long and slow (over an hour), my driver was unable to wait for me. Not companies fault or my fault, just bad circumstances but ended up being a complete waste of my money as I then had to pay for a taxi. Don’t pre purchase transfers. The taxi cost me the same amount and was very easy.

Santiago’s airport can be a little intimidating, be prepared to walk once you get off your international flight. Customs was a breeze, very professional and friendly. The Double Tree hotel where we stayed was awesome, the service from start to finish, awesome. Keep up the excellent work.

Jefer was really good with his communication. He informed us about timing. This was a godsend as we were approached by someone purporting to be a Viator rep and trying to guide us to an alternative ride. I asked the so called rep for the name of the driver having already communicated with Jefer. The supposed rep gave me a different name. I quickly messaged Jefer and he was waiting for us at another location. Jefer took us to our hotel with courteous and polite service.

Great communication before and during our travel from Phoenix to Santiago Airport. Landed after a long overnight flight with my older in laws with a lot of luggage and didn't want to deal with cabs, etc. Texted us to let us know where to meet and provided us a picture so we knew not only to look for my name but also her picture. No issues at all. We used the same service the next day for a vineyard tour and lunch. Would highly recommend. Always felts safe as a passenger on both days.

Franklin was our driver's name - he arrived at airport ahead of us as our flight was delayed and upon arrival it took considerable time to navigate entry and claim baggage. He communicated his location in the terminal clearly via WhatsApp, though we stumbled about finding him. After a friendly welcome, he took control of our bags and led us to the his vehicle which was very clean. The drive was comfortable though morning traffic slowed our trip. Upon arrival at our hotel, he offloaded the bags and bid us a smiling farewell. Highly recommend this service and Franklin as the driver.
