We had a private tour guide for the whole trip and he was very friendly and took great care of us. Sloth/zoo was great to see the animal. Buggy driving was fun, but the first couple of rides broke down on us when driving, but they were really fast at getting us a replacement (like 30 seconds).

The whole experience was awesome. We all had a fun time. Renie was a great host. He was knowledgeable about the island and was sure that everything went smoothly. Be sure to bring old shoes and/or water shoes. They will get wet and muddy. We would definitely do this experience again.

It was a great time at the wildlife zoo they took us by! All the animals looked Happy! The walk through the park was rocky so make sure you bring the right shoes. My water shoes were just "ok" to walk around with. The dune buggies are go carts so be prepared. We were really bummed out to find that out because we really wanted a fun/comfortable ride this time around for this type of excursion. Our go cart broke down during the ride and we had to switch but the guys were very accommodating when that all happened. All the guides were great and the picture prices are the end were reasonably priced to purchase. It wasn't too far from where the ships were so, that was convenient. We had to cut our trip a little short because we choose a later start time so I can't speak on the beach part. They accommodated well and made sure we were back to the ship with time to spare!

Getting out of the port to find the tour guide was chaotic. The guide was amazing, but it was difficult to get to him. The animal sanctuary was fun. I wish I knew how muddy we would get riding the dune buggies, but it was so much fun.

1.0 Beware!!! Not At All What We Signed Up For!

We signed up for the Jungle and Private Beach tour and it was not at all what they advertised. When we got there, the machines didn't look anything like what is portrayed on their website. My husband and I went through 3 dune buggies before we had one with a functioning safety strap. Our friends were each on ATVs which kept breaking down and had bald tires. One of the guide's dune buggy even caught on fire. Once we finally got going we kept just going around in circles on the property. We thought we were just warming up but nope... that was it! No jungle, no creek, no views - nothing. I was told days later (after I wrote to the manager) that this was because of the rain that the island had got that week and it wasn't safe. I can totally understand that but absolutely NO ONE advised us of this ahead of time. We should have been told and offered the chance to reschedule or cancel. I had to ask to get a refund (which they did give - 1/4) but they were certainly not going to offer it. We also headed out the private beach but were turned away at the gate because of a wedding that was going on. The company should have known this ahead of time. So we wasted a half hour of our day driving around to another beach. The guides were great, especially Brian, but that is all I can say that was positive. There are other options on the island and I would definitely suggest trying those first. I would hope they would be more honest and forthcoming than this company was.

Fun experience!!!! With some great people!!! Psa don't wear white lol you will get muddy and encounter so many animals. Crystal was our tour guide and took us to the buggy place first and we were met with very kind individuals! They started with a safety tutorial and then you got to have alot of fun!!!I Felt safe and had a lot of fun doing the buggys!!!! Then on to the wild life sanctuary we got to meet some tropical birds monkeys and sloths!!! So much fun!!!! Then we finished at a beach area. Super nice bring water shoes the sand and shells were very course. Water was beautiful. Overall 10/10 i didn't know what to expect when we booked but was blown out of the water with the experience <3

The day and time that we went, was prime. We had the entire trail to ourselves. Our guides were great, they let us tear up the trails. You will get very muddy (FYI). There’s a hose/shower available to rinse off afterwards.

We had an excellent time with Victor! Our first stop was Mayan Eden Eco Park. We were able to interact with and feed you and, a sloth, monkeys and a kinkajou. Next we went on an ATV ride. It was an awesome adventure! Finally we ended our day at a private beach with pool. I cannot even find the words to describe amazing the day was! We booked this excursion through NCL as part of a cruise to Roatan.
I am not sure who the provider was, but our primary tour guide was Rosa - who was so great and our driver for the day was Roger and WOW was he great.
How he navigated the roads in that bus is beyond me!
Our drive from the port to the Mayan Eden Eco Park was maybe 15 minutes?
Our guide at the Park was Kevin, who really did a great job.
Everyone in our group got to feed monkeys, hold a sloth, see beautiful flowers and birds and for those that wanted, hold a massive Boa Constrictor.
From there we went to the Buggy Park and our group was Team 4 and those guys were WORKING!!!
It was incredibly fun, but they kept us safe and moving the whole time.
From there we went to the Las Palmas Beach Resort to hang out, have food, swim in the ocean.
All in all it was a great day!
After all that fun, we were back to the port with about an hour before needing to get on the boat, so time to hang in the Roatan port area.
Not sure what other people did, but I can't imagine a better excursion than this one.
Fun tip, if you want your passport stamped bring it with as you are able to get that in the port.

We had a wonderful day thanks to Lexi our tour guide! Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our day. Lexi was funny, friendly,very knowledgeable about Roatan and was so helpful all day. We got to meet some adorable sloths and monkeys to start the day. Next it was on to the dune buggies, be warned you will get muddy but it was worth it we had a blast. To finish off the day we spent about two hours at a beautiful beach club with all the amenities,showers,change rooms,beach chairs and shady areas. The water was perfect,warm ,calm and clear. We had some delicious drinks and lunch. Highly recommend and ask for Lexi if you can.

I would not book a private non cruise line excursion in Roatan again. This meeting place was outside the protection of the cruise line security and we did not feel safe. Our driver no showed initially, and we had to arrange other transportation to the buggy rides. Verizon Cell phone service did not work to call the company. Another excursion operator tried to call the excursion transportation for us and no answer. The content of the excursion was fun, and I would recommend the actual activities if booked through a cruise company.

Seeing soths and monkeys was great. ATVs and dune buggies weren't well maintained and kept breaking down but was still fun.
Private beach was more of a pay place that driver threw in and they harassed you to buy something constantly, which was all ridiculously priced.

I forget the names of the two gentleman from the ATV park that helped us. (Below is a photo, please give them all the props.)
Unfortunately, we had several problems with the machines and these guys worked it out each time very quickly! (Ex. the breaks went out going downhill and they acted fast to ensure my husbands safety!)
To the ATV park, please do make sure the machines are tended to. My husband cycled through about 3 ATV’s. The alignment was off on most of them, the brakes cut out on another machine and one just stopped turning on.
Thats not on our guides, however! They were amazing!!
The beach resort was ok, nice and quiet. Seemed a bit run down. The food was very dry and not super interesting. Drinks were ok. The server we had was also ok.

Fantastic excursion! Lexi, our guide, took great care of us. They also were very good about calling and keeping in touch with ship changes and port times. We did a combo tour and the dune buggy portion was great. Tour guides were fun and really made it a good time for all.
- the sloth santuary was a huge disappointment our tour guide Anthony was inexperienced and lost control of the group - we did not see the sloths at all due to his poorly managed time with our group ( I have reviewed that separatley with Mayan Eden)

I am 75 yrs of age and was given a Norwegian cruise by my family and some of which went with me. This was the one excursion we took. The young men working there took excellent care of me. I had never been on an atv before that day. They made sure my experience was one I would never forget. Peter our bus guide took great care at the sloth sanctuary. I held a parrot played with the monkeys and held one of the sloths. The butterflies were also very beautiful. The beach resort was beautiful.

I booked this as a cruise excursion for our family of 5. Anytime I emailed them with questions prior to trip, they responded quickly. Pickup from port was easy. There were 12 total on the excursion so was very nice to have smaller groups than going through cruise line. We all loved the sloth/monkey sanctuary. It was so much fun to interact with the animals and the beach part was beautiful. I knew going in the ATV part might not be the perfect fit for our family as I have a 7 year old timid girl and a 17 year old daughter who is a cautious driver. After emailing them with questions as to whether a group of us could cut that part short if needed, I went ahead and booked excursion. As I suspected my youngest only enjoyed it for a short period of time, but the guides were fabulous and excorted my husband and her back to home base. My 17 year old was getting frustrated driving so I asked one of the guides if he could drive my 13 year old boy and have the 17 year old join me. My son loved having the guide as a driver because they really got down and dirty. Even though the atv/buggy part might not have been a hit with our entire family, the guides were phenomenal with our situation and my son absolutely loved it! I would highly recommend this tour.
