My wife and I celebrated our 29th anniversary ziplining and the experience was phenomenal. The hike to the top can be a little steep for some, especially if you recently went hiking the day before. Follow the directions from the staff and you will enjoy ziplining through the forest.

Beautiful scenery but not impressed with the way things were operated. They did not make an effort to keep our group together, therefore missing the opportunity to watch each other zip. Also, not enough staff to get those across that don’t weigh enough leaving some in our group not able to make it across without manually pulling themselves across.

Thank you for your review. We do our best to inform our guests about the operation before the tour by providing a safety briefing and demonstrating how to operate the equipment. Some lightweight individuals may struggle to get across certain longer cables. This is why we have trained guides available to assist throughout the tour.
It's important for everyone to understand the operation to avoid situations where they can't make it across. This sometimes happens when braking is applied unnecessarily, which can occur with children, as their excitement may lead them to brake when it isn't needed.
You visited on a busy day when we were operating at full capacity, and there were many children due to it being spring break. Unfortunately, we can't keep the entire group together, especially when someone in your group needed help crossing. This caused delays in our operation, and we had other tours scheduled that day, as well as zipliners waiting to go.
We strive to keep the tour moving, so when someone is unable to cross, we assist them while also ensuring the rest of the tour continues. Thank you for your understanding.

All the guides were very helpful putting on the harnesses, then showing us the safety video. One thing we would like to say with the 12 Zip line experience involved alot of up hill walking with possibly about 500 .
The actual zip lines were amazing and great care was taken with our safety.

The zip lines were amazing! Great views and the guides were fun and they made sure everyone was safe and having fun! The waterfall hike was pretty but it’s very steep going down and very steep climbing back out. Not for the faint of heart!

The guides were great and the experience was fun. We were able to view the fortuna water fall among other scenic views. However, we would have benefited from know more about the hike and timeline before the tour started. The tour also stated that the total time is approximately 5 hours, which I found to be misleading considering the total time was around 1.5 hours long for the zip line tour.

Thank you for your review! I wish you had responded to the confirmation messages I sent regarding the optional self-guided waterfall hike before the zipline. In those messages, I asked if you were interested in the hike and explained that it is available by reservation only. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a response to the three messages I sent.
Regarding the tour duration, it can vary depending on group size and whether or not you participate in the hike. You visited during the low season, which meant smaller groups were present. Therefore, the tour only took 1.5 hours without the optional self-guided hike to the waterfall, which you did not confirm your interest in. If you review the product details, you will see that the hike is optional and requires a reservation.
I would have gladly provided you with the hike details and added it to your reservation had you followed up on the three messages I sent after confirming your reservation.

This was the absolute best zip line experience . Guides were awesome, & the views spectacular. You need to be in good physical shape to “climb” up the steps to get to the top. The cables were long & you moved at high speeds .

First time on a zip line. What an incredible experience! Our guides were knowledgeable, attentive, ensured our safety and made sure we were having fun! The operator of Paradise Adventures Costa Rica is the best host in La Fortuna. Not only does he facilitate the essential activities one must do and see in La Fortuna, he offers advise on local eateries and lodging. I would definitely rebook activities through his site on my return. 10/10 recommend!

From booking to departure, PACR's friendly and responsive communication made booking and excursion logistics effortless. Every excursion and shuttle we booked through PACR our expectations. They communicated with us to let us know what to bring, arrived on time (to the minute!) and delivered exceptional value for money. Free lockers allow you to leave everything safely at the front desk while you zip through the canopy, or hike to the waterfall. I recommend completing the zip lines first, then tackling the hike to the waterfall. The hike to the falls is quite long (4 km each way) and it can get hot if the sun is out. Come prepared with a hat, water and snacks. On the excursion side of the falls, the river floor is rocky. If you plan to wade in or swim, bring some water shoes or flip flops - it's worth it! The site is absolutely stunning.
The zip line experience is indescribable. My partner and I absolutely loved it! It was exhilarating and beautiful. The guides were friendly and hilarious - they definitely spiced up our experience while still being professional and safe. I can't say enough good things about this excursion, and about Paradise Adventures Costa Rica. You can book here with confidence.

Our zipline guide Pablo was outstanding as was the zipline portion of the day. However after the zipline we expected we would be able to easily access the waterfall base to swim. However it requires coordinating transport via tractor about 15 min one way and then a scenic but steep 30-45 min walk down to the waterfall then back up to the tractor drop/pick area. At the waterfall you have option of viewing the waterfall from a higher lookout or walking through the river around a bend to see it from ground level and swim. Most of our group didn’t see the waterfall from the base because they didn’t want to walk through the river (waist high) and get wet.

Guides Marcos and his partner were amazing and very helpful especially with a friend who needed to go tandem.
Before or after we were able to go to the waterfall as well that we just zip lined over.

We did the tour with a short hike to swim under the waterfall, 12 zip lines, rappelling down next to a waterfall, and horseback riding back for lunch. We’ve done ziplining, ATVs, skydiving, all kinds of adventures before and the rappelling was BY FAR our favorite to date!!! Cannot recommend it enough. The tour felt a bit long honestly (we would’ve been satisfied wrapping up after the rappeling) but we still enjoyed the rest of the zip lines and horseback riding. We got caught in some cold rain that got all in our boots and soaked us, so I recommend bringing a rain jacket and wearing dark clothes as the mud on the lines splashed our clothes. Hope this helps!!! Book this excursion!!!
Also, PACR was incredibly accommodating with us booking late at night the day before our tour. They were very responsive and helped get us ready to go, then checked in on us after the tour. Great company 🙏

Above. It was the best experience ever. It looked like you were part of a 3D movie! Our guides Pablo and Ronald were super attentive and knowledgeable. Easy check in, we had a video with an explanation at the beginning and a short trip on a tractor to get to the first zip-line where we saw some wildlife. Amazing experience all together. This company provided a great and safe structure. Highly Recommend it!
